  1. In EU i was used to change gears with my right hand but now when i'm living here just wondering if it's gonna be hard to adjust to change gears with my left hand?

My only experience was about 20-30minutes and it was really weird.I would be greatful if anyone could share experience and your thoughts if changing gears with left hand could ever become natural?

Best idea would probably be to buy AT,but on this model price is almost 100,000baht more,so i would rather go with MT.

  2. Agakure, we have not tested it yet but it seems people with a lot of tourist visas may find it difficult to obtain an ED visa. Sent from my GT-I9190 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

thats good as they are not students..just visa jumpers

Wrong. You can't say that for everyone, don't generalize.I have a lot of tourist visas but i actually have never missed a thai school lesson on my ed visa, and i'm eager to learn thai language.

It would be better to have some sort of test based upon how much months/years did you learn thai. Those who have ed visa for several years but can't speak even a word, those are the real problem.

as said /most use it to stay in thailand..and work illegally

Some people use it for work illegal. But MOST of the people use it to stay here on the long term without doing anything illegal. That's not a scam.

  4. I don't think so. You will be fine. Sent from my GT-I9190 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

I'm studying at walen pattaya (and i'm regular at thai classes) and i have a lot of tourist visas . So at ed visa extension in jomtien i would have to get some proof of income/bank balance or it won't be needed?

At this moment no. But in a short period of time you may need proof of income or money in the bank from outside Thailand.

Let's hope it would not come to that i need proof of income at ed visa extension when i go to jomtien. I don't work here or anything illegal but my money is staying on my thai girlfriend bank account so we use it together(and it's not a lot).So i can support myself by not working but of course it's a not exactly my bank account

  5. 110k?? that's much. Anyone know price of that "Pui" bike? i reckon it's something like 280k+

It doesn't look to be that heavily modified. The rear shock will be the most expensive depending on the brand. Brembo brakes are a bit too, but I was going to guess closer to 50-60k for those mods. Most everything else you can get locally for cheap.

    Rear shock, 24,000

    Tail tidy, (rizoma) 5000

    Fully arrow system 28,000

    Calipers, 20,000

    brembo master cylinder 10,000

RIzoma gear at the front end another 10,000+

    Radiator guard, 3000

    Tyres 10,000

    = 110,000Baht

Ok maybe i didn't properly rephrase qeustion. When i was asking "bike like that" i meant only the front part of the bike? That's why i shocked when i looked the price of 110k for that modification.

I don't like the front of the stock new model,it's a bit "upright".

So it seems it has lower handlebars and lower on front suspension, but i'm far from being an expert.

New tyres, radiator guard, gears, brakes, rear shock is something as good as stock for me. Full arrow system-i would go for slip-on only.

    But for front end-lower handlebars,suspension?

  6. My thai gf has 3 tattoos-two on back and one small butterfly tattoo on hand. She also has a piercing on tongue.Never worked in bar.She works in office as a accountant in expensive up-class hotel/resort in Pattaya. She also has some bar girls as a friends. Im staying with her for 5 years now.Her parents are not rich but not poor either. She and me never give just 1 baht to her family in this 5 years. They never ask nothing. Infact her parents still give her money when she ask for it.

If she probably was walking out on street 99% of foreigner would think she's a prostitute. Like someone said, don't judge the book by it's cover. Also judging someone because he has tattoos is idiotic, then Angelina Jolie should be xxxxx by how much tattoos she has.If someone is marrying a bar girl he has to know that he will keep his gf/wife only by wallet not love. They work in a bar for a reason and that reason is money,if you don't have it she will not have you.

And a Star was Seen in The East.cheesy.gif

    don't know what that mean

  8. I don't know why but i prefer looks of previous model 2009/10/11 er6-n,anyone think the same or am i the only one?

I find the new model to have rather "upright" position, maybe because of tank or something, really don't know and previous model to have more "streetfighter" naked look.

So would it cost much to make it look like this? About how much are we talking about?

  9. Here's my take. Dad and son somehow cause the band to lose face, most probably by doing something so innocuous it didn't register at the time. Band waits outside for the pair to leave and desperate for revenge, attacks, thinking 3 on 2 should be okay as it's only a dad and son. As most Thai males can't fight for shit without back-up or being tooled-up, they started to get a beating so resort to knifing the dad and then trying to beat the son to death. Band then make up BS excuses (tip-box, didn't stop singing etc.) in order to try to minimize their guilt, similar to that murdering taxi driver in BKK recently. ThaiVisa Thai-wannabes take the BS excuses as fact, even inventing stuff like spitting in a girl's face. Then they try to put the blame on the Americans by excusing the Thai thugs behaviour with the usual 'cultural differences' chestnut.

And yes, some westerners behave boorishly or aggressively when drunk, but often the Thai response (beatings, knifings, murder etc.) is totally over the top and out of proportion to the perceived original 'offence'.

Even if the 'reports' of the Americans bad behavior turns out to be true, it didn't warrant a death sentence.

Honestly saying ,after i saw how did they behave i wished those 2 drunk guys would get beaten up.Unfortunately, one of them died. But i'm not lying , i really wished they would get beaten.

And people like you are the the worst posters here on TV.You just wait to something like this happen(or every other story) just so you can bash all thai people. If you think one can come here and behave aggressively, shouting at people then you shouldn't even come.Try to do that in other country,it will be with same consequences.

I lived 3 years in Pattaya and believe me 99% of all fights started because farang started behave aggressively first. Tell me one story that you know where thai WITHOUT ANY REASON attacked foreigners?(except robbers and similar).Yes there are,but very rarely.

  10. As someone who is regular there and was there ,this article says only a small part of story. I'm not blaming nobody,i am just being objective.

Article says only about not wanting to get off the stage and flipping the tip box. It didn't mention 2 drunk americans disrespecting/swearing/insulting people/bend,putting a microphone in pants and at last just before leaving bar -spitting in a face of a thai girl which was girlfriend of bend musician that was singing.

A story has always two sides. Of course they didn't deserve to die but their really bad behaviour was reason someone did die. When someone come to holiday and then behave like that i don't even want to think how then they behave in their home country.

If what you say is true (and I have no reason to doubt your research), one wonders how long these two would have lasted in any bar in any country in the world, be they tourists or locals.

No justification for a killing, but surely a recipe for disaster.

I agree, they probably have problems all around but it only takes 1 time to encounter someone who is hot tempered and will not take that easily. The best thing to avoid problems in thailand is to talking politely,it really isn't that hard.Once you raised your voice and start to angry one is just making it worst.

  11. Home built. I have a duo core e4500 intel chip. The quadcore chip is as expensive as the newer i3 quad cores. So I may upgrade the mb for the newer z77 with thunderbolt and get a cheaper i3 or i5 cpu for the time being. Nvidia 8800 gt card. 4 gigs of ram.

Machine is sputtering along with the newer games, but I do need to upgrade soon. Cannot enjoy it with resolution at standard on arma 3, after seeing the reviews at full resolution.

Well your pc has proven a point that even an old pc hardware like you have, like a console ,can play newer games.

ARMA series tend to be more CPU hungry so it would be nice to get an quad core, get Z77 motherboard only if you want to overclock,if not, H series would be enough. And yes your GPU has seen its days long enough, time to get some GPU with dx11.

There isnt much games that are coming soon, not sure when exactly Arma 3 will be released, but maybe its a good idea to wait 2-3 months more and get a new

Haswell CPU.They will come along with a new series of motherboard. So would be good idea to wait and get new cpu and new series of fatherboard that won't be abandoned really soon.

  12. What pc you have?

I really hope for dedicated servers in South east asia.If you try some multiplayer let us know.

And also, its only a alpha version, game is gonna be much more optimized be the time it hit the stores(or steam:-))

  13. Please tell me where did you get that spec list for that price? i so can avoid that shopwai.gif

is there any reason why you want to go with pre-built PC? The best thing you can do is choose part yourself(they can install everything for you if u cant)

Frankly this build that you choose is worth less then 20000baht.GPU is terrible, not even a gaming gpu

3770k is only for video editing etc,it can be overclocked but they didnt even put cpu cooler in it.

For 42000baht for gaming pc get something like this

    i5 3570k 7000baht

    cpu cooler hyper 212 1000baht

    extreme4 motherboard - 4000baht

    8GB ram 1600mhz 2000baht

some nice custom gpu hd7970 - vapor or sapphire 15.000baht

dont know what is 10/100/1000 LAN but every motherboard comes with ethernet network already

and else what you have choosen already is fine

and what adt1980 said trow in some SSD

You can also trow a nice 1080p 23" monitor and still you would not top more then 42000baht,what left trow a BF3 and can of beer.

prebuilt pc-s are worse, much more costly then when you choose part yourself

  14. you can find players on every console but there are much more pc players,so i would go for a pc. PC's are also better due to dedic. servers. If you need to find players you should go to www.overclockzone.com ,its a thai pc website but you can find in bottom left corner to translate on english every post and thread, there are more then 300.000 thais with 40million posts, aslo many thais playing online, also new games like crysis 3 .happy gaming

  15. Thailand is 'famous' for it, because Thai are open about it and allow foreigners to participate. Other Asian countries have just as much if not more prostitution than Thailand. It is omnipresent in every Asian society. But in other countries foreigners aren't even permitted to enter most of these places, and foreigners seen with a local female can get very hostile reactions and the woman herself sometimes will be openly insulted by native males. Additionally Thailand is an attractive coubntry to visit in general, so many people will go here and see it occur, and not realize that in China, Korea, etc it is everywhere too. So no, it is not 'fair' the reputation Thailand receives, when they are simply the more open about it.

Been all over Asia and Thailand has by far and away the most prostitutes of anywhere and its not even close. Prostitution certainly does exist everywhere in Asia, but not nearly at the level it does in Thailand.

Your observations, based on your own limited anecdotal evidence, are grossly biased and an unreliable source of information.

If you would bother to do a bit of research you would find that Thailand ranks about number 11 in number of sex workers per 10,000 adult female population. At 44 per 10,000, Thailand is behind such countries as Venezuela (119), Peru (101), Luxembourg (99), Philippines (85), Latvia (67), China (59), Brazil (52), Malaysia (51) and Germany (48). Look it up.

there are prostitutes in every country - just behind closed doors. In thailand, most of places are open, where you can record, photo etc.

  16. Ahem, I wonder what % of Thai Visa members have indulged in mongering, or if a forum like Thai Visa would even exist if it weren't for guys going to Thailand to monger (when they are not looking at temples of course). Bottom line is that there would be massive civil unrest if these girls stopped hooking. All of the ancillary services catering to the girls would be out of business too. From Som Tam vendors, to beauty salons, the money that the girls take in is astronomical and help support other businesses. Not to mention all of the money that we sponsors shell out. I send my GF 1,000 USD every month, and I've been doing it for 3 years. Way more than her Thai husband probably gives her (I'm assuming she probably has one--not sure yet, but it seems to be the norm). Maybe it was that "uncle" I met one time. I came to LOS originally to train in Muay Thai, and the girls were just a bonus. I met my GF in a restaurant near a bar district. That restaurant catered to bargirls and I doubt I would have met my little love monkey if it weren't for the bar biz. So, thank you Thailand--keep it up!

Why the hell you still giving her 1k a months??lol . Like i said ,dont look for a good girl in a bad place

I keep an apartment in Sutthisan for 7k baht/month, air-con is another 4,000, transportation 1,000, food (street food, restaurants, and groceries) 8,000, That's already 20K/Month and that doesn't include clothes, entertainment, cel phone, internet, school, and of course--the family.

Bangkok is really expensive now. I need a minimum of 2,000 USD to live in a decent place. When my GF goes back to Sisaket, I only send her 15k, and sometimes as low as 8K. but she gets bored there and wants to be in the city. She doesn't make me buy her jewelry or anything expensive. Just happy that she could quit her job at the sea food restaurant--a place that she only made 200 baht/day for a 10 hour shift and she had to spend 80 baht to get to work. Not to mention a creep of a boss that sexually harassed her every day. I can understand why the girls would choose "work at bar" over a minimum slave wage job. It's just not enough to survive.

Sorry before i though u had a girl that works in restaurant like a bar girl? this is why is said, why u send her 1k a month? If she's not a bar girl then i wish you luck. If it was a bar girl i would wish you A LOT of luck lol.

  17. Embarrasing?

Who's embarrased? The sellers? Not apparently. The buyers? Not apparently.

Maybe it is those who are in denial, and do absolutely nothing to change the reality of the state of Thailand who are embarrased.

Yes, one prostitute was very honest in telling me that she and the other girls don't like their work, but they need to do it to provide for their children or parents. You can't believe that many prostitutes are happy with her chosen profession, and not doing it out of necessity. Heck, most wives say no to sex if asked. Why would a prosititue want a different person in her every night? That is a guys dream, not a woman's.

Thank you,at least 1 normal foreigner here

How do you know what is normal and what is not? Are you a psychologist or doctor of some kind? Why would you be a better judge than anyone else? Why would your opinion be better than someone who does not agree with you?

like i said its meaningless to talk about it as i cant/dont want change other peoples mind. What you think is you brain and your opinion and nobody can take that away from you.But for me assumming that a bar girl is working because she likes dick and sleeping with strangers every other day is stupid. For others, carry on..i've seen enough and enough people like ThomasBird67
