Sounds fantastic. 120 million shots this year and 60 million shots next year. With a population of 66 million.

    Cross check:

25.8 million shots administered to date in total. 5.71 million fully vaccinated.

About half of them vaccinated with AZ = about 13 million

AZ 61 million - AZ 13 million = 48 million would then have to appear in the last 4 months.

Where does the rest come from when AZ has increased the originally agreed 3 million to 6 million?

There are still 24 million left unexplained?

Or does Thailand want to completely confiscate the entire AZ production of 10 million per month?

Nevertheless, 7-8 million vaccination units would still be missing to reach 61 million. Without a detailed list, I am not convinced by what is being announced.

Your taking this statement from a Government Spokesman far too seriously. Its what's known as a SPIN that can never be traced back to the SPINNER. That said I too for a fleeting moment was taken in.

Whether the moderna observation also applies to the AZ vaccine is a completely different matter. Deciding to reduce the vaccine doses on the basis of a gut feeling, without basic scientific research, is highly risky. To what extent, due to the vaccine shortage in Thailand, this is a medical or a politically motivated decision, remains questionable.

You know well the answer to your question. Around the world countries more or less are moving to the third jab but Thailand is Thailand. A friend yesterday sent me photos from his village and what was going on and it is quite shocking particularly how the people are suffering and dieing in their homes.

    5555. You are funny.

You should make more of these funny remarks on more topics... Oh, think you already do.

Keep up the good work. People are really interested in your contribution.

    However, to answer your question...

(which you probable have thought long about, and even thought to have a smart question, for a change)

No. We do our business and personal finance together. Practical to have access to all accounts.

If you are in a relationship where trust is not an issue, this comes naturally.

Good luck with your partner and try to get some more intelligent questions next time.

Per chance could it possibly be that she doesn't trust you? The rule of thumb in Thailand is trust least those you trust most. We soon reach that sell by date.

  4. The rule of thumb would be chalk it up as experience. You don't want to run away because the Landlord will no doubt have a friend who is a lawyer and if he or she is of a disposition to force the issue you could have legal problems and that will cost you even more because you will loose in court and have to pay up or worse still you could in your absence be sued without your knowledge and perhaps an arrest warrant issued. How petty they can get? I rented a condo in BKK @ 30K per month and after I left the owner rang me and accused me of switching the batteries in the TV remote. You wont make the same mistake again.

Gee almost 20 likes to the above. And a bunch more elsewhere. From the movie The Sting:

Johnny Hooker: I gave him the breakout just like you said.

    Henry Gondorff: And?

Johnny Hooker: 'S good. He threatened to kill me.

Henry Gondorff: Hell, kid, they don't do that, you know you're not getting to 'em.

Comments of Dr. Richard Brown at the JUKLY 23 EU?WHO Bngkok Conference:

“Thailand has done very well. Despite the success, the main reason (for the current situation) is the emergence of new variants. It is my belief that not everyone anticipated what would happen and its impact,” Dr Brown said.

90 days or so until this fool wants to open the entire country. The 14 day pseudo lockdown will not control this. I see that the CCSA is blaming increased spread on people breaking curfew but this is just deflection away from there own mishandling of the pandemic. I warned yesterday that an alcohol ban maybe likey. I feel the chances of this has increased.

At least you have your priorities right. I believe those who have been infected with and by Covid 19 would gladly forego alcohol.
