The thai passengers react very well, they stay calm. Well done. And great to hear that the driver was arrested

Might wanna check up on all the local fishing boats and let them know its not cool, to throw plastic in the ocean....

I think alot of tourists would really apreciate clean streets with no mountains of trash on backroads either

Every week for all the years that I have lived here I see locals throwing trash by the roadside, throwing bags of trash in the beautiful nature. Never ever have I seen a foreigner doing that, ever. Not even once. I have collected trash on beaches, and I didnt see any Marlboro, I didnt see any Camel brands. But I did see alot of SMS brand and Wonder brand, tourists dont smoke those. We found alot of Yakult plastic container and Instant Noodle containers, also not something foreign tourists are eating. So there is no question in my mind where this trash is coming from. And its a real shame.

It is very very normal to hitchike in europe and america, it can give friendsships and some different experiences that you normally would. There is a charm to this kind of travelling, even if its not something for you. so just calm down.

Its good that the journalist clarified that the boiled rice included condiments, because if it was just only boiled rice, I really would not have known where to go with this....so Im glad he cleared up what would have just been a mess of confusion

5000 is at least a fine that shows this is serious. At least this carried a fine that he can feel, and not just a 500 baht slap on the wrist, so well done on this occasion.

It definately can not have anything to do with local fisherman throwing plastic overboard...and no officials following up and enforcing a ban on that

This is the kind of response that is needed. Well done by the DLT chief, this at least sends a message that this behaviour is not acceptable. Applause for this

This is a complete joke! Why is he not getting a sentence? Kicking tourists in the face is okay...?

...Why does he deserve to be kicked in the face?
Everyone just fine with that?
In what kind of tourist destination is this okay?
Share this everywhere on socialmedia....simply not okay
Thailand has now become a place where it is completely fine to just kick foreigners in the face in broad daylight, as long as you are a local

How can this continue to happen....because 300 baht...
Its completely rediculous.....this could have been a very dangerous situation, where somebody got killed or very seriously hurt. But just 300 baht....so it will happen again and again and again.....

This is a huge problem for Thailand. And the problem stems from the fact that no one is teaching people that its wrong to throw trash on the roadside, everybody does it everyday. Nobody is telling the fishermen not to throw there trash overboard. And worst of all there is no enforcement what so ever. Its a disgrace.

What an idiot, send him home

500 Baht fine is rediculous...thats the problem. It should be 10-20.000 baht, and it should be inforced. Especially when evidence is so clear as here.

Hey, this is a great idea. How else will these matters be dealt with. I think this will help bring perpetrators to justice. So thiese crimes will not just get forgotten. When the public cares, so will the police. good idea.
