  1. I guess she doesn't watch Les Hiddens Explorer Stories series

Remember the episode about the Dutch colony that supposedly had it's ties in Australia many years before the British settled Australia.

A controversial subject but it was an interesting episode laugh.png reported aboriginals speaking some dutch as other explorers went into the area

    I'm Canadian/ Australian passport Australian biggrin.pngsmile.png

  2. I too would like to no more

Being a big fan of The Bush Tuckerman myself watching alot of Les' series on youtube.

Brings back memories biggrin.png watching that show years ago in Australia

We live in a townhouse complex and ladies are collecting green leafy plants from around the very small vacant but slightly over grown areas.

I found out that there is a particular Croton shrub you can fry up. leaves only

It is the very narrow leafed one yellow and green I know it when I see it

  3. Hi attrayant

That sounds pretty nice Getting hungry and mouth watering already biggrin.png

The best chicken for me are those franchise jobs you see off the side of the road a rotisserie with about 5/6 chooks cooking away. The petrol and CO2 fumes from the road give the chicken a real special taste biggrin.png

Yes I did google but nothing really took my fancy.

We do have a bread making machine now collecting dust but even though the wife had a go at sourdough I think corn bread would be difficult.

  4. A month ago the good wife that she is brought home a can of creamed corn from Macro.

I'm thinking oh crap what in the hell am I going to do with that?

i think she meant to buy some pork and beans which she does buy at Macro from time to time.

After actually searching the net I really didn't find any thing that took my fancy for a meal that specifically uses a can or two of creamed corn

I remember as a young lad I would eat creamed corn straight out of a can sometimes.

Now I don't think I could do just that.

Some of you must have some interesting ways or special secrets to do to make a good wholesome meal out of 1 can of creamed corn. ]

    Any suggestions?

Or should I throw it hard against the back of our house wall and see if it explodes everywhere

  5. Another Fetish of mine

You know those so called motorcycle helmets that you can get at Mae Sai German ww2, USMC etc.

Thai's actually use them as motorcycle helmets

Just for fun in the house I wouldn't use them as a motorcycle helmet no way.

I am still trying to get all of them more of a collecting fetish biggrin.png

My Thai wife has a bedspread fetish. Every month or so she needs a new bedspread, sheets and pillowcase set. Christ we have a bedroom full of them laugh.png She even gives some of the older sets that she doesn't like anymore away to family

Yet she always loves one of the first sets she bought years ago. Just must be the right comfortabiity for her.

  6. Well,

I read all these threads about what does a Thai woman want? How were you attracted to your partner? Does your partner like younger or older men?

    Really?

Who is interested in this sort of lighthearted but space wasting posting?

No. My post is about any particular fetish you may have here in Thailand. Nothing to do with being a sick puppy or being totally twisted or even being a complete nutter.

    Example:

You may have a constant yearning fetish for fuktong. What do you do with it? What are some of your favourite fuktong recipes?

So that's just an example it can be a general fetish for something specific to Thailand.

    My Thailand Fetish

I have a fetish for some of the Thai bus company uniforms. You know, the ones that almost look like 60's flight attendants they look so cute.

Also the bright and brilliant colours that some companies use and the same certain 60's style are very very cute.

When you see a couple of bus attendants walking around the bus station in that particular style of uniform they take me back a decade or two but they are very very cute thumbsup.gif

  7. Hi There,

i am currently on a Multi O based on marriage doing the regular 90 day border thing out of Thailand then back in again followed by another 90 day stamp.

    I have been offered employment and wish to have some clarification for;

Is working on this visa completely legal ?

Can a company issue a WP using the current Multi O visa based on marriage.?

Some time ago I have been on non imm b's with extensions but now find them quite constrictive such as say you are employed at a company for 1 year then the company does not want you after that year you only have 7 days to get a out of the country on to a new visa of sorts.

So may you work on Multi -O visa based on marriage and supplied a work permit via a company on this visa.

Just to truly clarify from other threads I have read.

    Yours sincerely,

    Saknat

  8. Well,

My wife and I have had a going concern for four years now without in the forseeable future of closing the venture.

A coffee and cake business grossing around 150000 baht per month.

Now I am NOT interested in the non imm B visa for this as we did look into it and it can be quite complex especially for wife.

However I am interested to see if anyone here has a business partnership with their wfe and is using the income for proof of income for a Multi O visa.

    First things to consider obviously

Making a bonified business partnership via a local lawyer.

I would NOT be working in the business but only be a Partner in the business.

Concerning income I've read that people use gross figures for monthly income.

Documents would have to be made via al ocal lawyer concerning a gross monthly income.

I am just thinking about this as just say this is a scenerio

We have the gross yearly income coming in from the coffee shop.

Perhaps 200000 in a Thai Bank account.

Would 40000 baht have to be put into my account via the partnerships named account?

If proof of business partnership income was all done via a local lawyer would this be feasable.

Am I barking up a wrong tree here or is there a possibility for this concerning showing proof of income for a multi o visa

I would only be interested in setting up a genuine partnership and obtaining documentaion proof of (40000) per month via a lawyer.

I was also told that if able to this I could get the legal income proof documents further verified at a local consulate.

    Hopw someone can enlighten.

  9. Well This doesn't seem to be good news for foreigners and Savannakhet as a community

Just doing some rough figures you think about it

Say the consulate process 50 multi 0 visas a day from people using agents or in person

that is 250 000 baht per day.

    Per 5 days that is 1 250 000 (a working week)

Say per 20 days 5 000 000 (an average working month)

    5 000 000 baht a month gone

That is quite a loss to the consulate alone and surrounding supporting business in Savannakhet such as near consulate business, agents, guest houses, hotels, restaurants.

i did my multi o in Savannekhet some months ago I am ok until May 2014

Does anyone look at the big picture.

  10. Hi Lopburi 3

Thank you very much for the quick reply.

Yes I am planning to do a yearly extension after the first multi o visa.

Having I believe up to 15 months with the first multi o visa will give ample time to organize the other 200000 baht.

My wife and I decided to do this visa as we had a recent winfall over a new RV.

Her sister smashed it completely and we got a hefty sum from the insurance company.

She is also selling her older Toyota and we may use the cash later for extension purposes.

She is now looking for a new car again.

You know Thai's and thier cars.

We are always putting cash into her coffee and cake shop which she has ran successfully for four years now.

Having an amount for an intial multi o visa 200000 followed by the official amount of 400000 stashed away in a Thai account is actually a good saving method.

You can't touch it if you do no extension.

Living in the north it is very difficult to obtain the 40000 a month unless you have a business back home etc.

You'd have to work 24/7 and more so.

The cash amount is the easiest approach for the extension.

Thanks again for the quick reply.

I will have a look at what else you suggested.

    Cheers

  11. Hi There,

I have frequented Thai Visa as a regular guest but this is my first post

I am currently on a single entry o visa which I easily obtained in Ventienne, Laos a month ago.

I have currently half the 'official' sum required sitting nicely in a Thai bank account maturing over the next couple of months.

I put the funds in last month reading about two or three months in a Thai bank account.

Will be able to put more in to the account this coming year for the 'offical' sum and yearly extension.

I presume the docs required would be the same for the single entry except including the up to the minute bank statement.

If there are more docs needed could some kind soul please advise

    concerning KL Embassy

i've recently read that this embassy requires you to have 100000 baht Thai bank account or a non Thai account

    concerning Savannaket in Laos

I have read recently that this Embassy is the place to go for a multi entry based on marriage.

i have read that it is very easy to obtain a multi o visa based on marriage

I know that the internet can not be update at any given time.

I am really inquiring if any person has recently achieved a multi o visa based on marriage at KL or in SAV at Laos.

If you have recently obtained a multi o based in Sav Laos I would really appreciate the information for this process.

If you have recently obtained a multi o based on marriage in KL I would really appreciate the information for this process.

have lived in Thailand for 7 years and married for that time.

I have always been on non b visa for work or business and this will be the first multi o visa for me.

I am very keen to compare Sav Laos to KL.

i am also hopefully wanting to obtain fairly recent information.

    Cheers
