  1. Hi, thanks for the reply. In this way I am wondering how to get a regular cut length as I plan to market to ornamental crayfish pellets and not farmed Yabbies or red clawed. We have a small crayfish farm and thought as food as a sideline as well as own use. Just researching the possibilities.

    thanks

  2. Airasia are OK. Problem is Don Muang airport cannot handle the amount of traffic. It's a nightmare. People unwilling or unable to understand the idea of quing, take bariers down and jump in anywhere ( especially the Chinese). There is little control. It's a free for all.

    Air asia website is OK. Gives you the choice of what you want. Just get to know it.

  3. There are many types of rice which will become more popular due to the health information available. Looking at Wikipedia is interesting. Not sure best way but I found it interesting about the processing details from Xen. Looking to but a processing mill next door, but this is in Laos so not too sure if the same applies.

  4. To clarify, some information from their website;

    Diabetes & Thyroid Center at Theptarin Hospital is the first comprehensive diabetes center in Thailand offering team-approach care (doctor, diabetes educator, dietitian, foot care specialist, and patient). With over 30 years of experience caring for diabetes patients, the center is widely accepted both in terms of quality and academic standard throughout Thailand, Southeast Asia, and beyond. There were references to the Thai Diabeties Association on the wall so I presume there is a connection.

    Some more useful information;

    There is a Thai Association . The website is in Thai. There is a reference made to and link to The International Diabetes Federation( IDF) on their site but the IDF site does not mention Thailand on SEA member page. but does state member since 1970 so not sure of status. Either way, a good source of information to compliment Others.

    Thanks for all the info and replies.

  5. Yes, very much agree.

    Impossible to get any non sugar drink that is not water and the food is terrible. Thanks for highlighting that.

    I believe Pattaya is full of 7/11s, stay out of them. Well apart from selling some very dark chocolate the rest of the stuff is a diabetics nightmare.

  6. Thank you for your replies. A hospital in Bangkok, Theptarin, was referred and a visit to them successful. They are the Thai Diabetic Association And very helpful.

    Will check other links, thanks and take into account the comments on eating out which I believe are correct.

    Thanks again.

  7. I had one in Thailand for a couple of years. Used it 3 times. Wouldn't recommend it. Get a decent pick up and stay in the thousands of cheap rooms available to suite any budget.

    There are no facilities for them and I found they charged more than a room due to their unknown quanitiy and use of electricity. Had generators but not convenient. Sold mine at a great loss.

    Good luck and enjoy whatever you decide.

  8. hi,

    Does anyone have any experience, or seen one in Thailand.

    I have an issue with locals cows and after a wall is built, plan on installing one at the entrance.

    Designs are available on the web but interested in local existence.

    Thanks

  9. Thanks for the replies.

    Equivalent I refer to is the medicinal remedies. There are so many herbs and veg which have so many properties which have been lost or seem to have been discarded. I am interested in learning about such things and also Asian etc medicinal herbs etc.

  10. I just had an overnight trip by train.

    There was a flyer handed out with safety and security tips, mostly common sense. Before leaving the station, a presentation was given by the transport police in each cabin presented by the head of police and also police stationed on the train, as well as the cabin stewards. All had radios and personal the mobile number of the police was on the flyer. Soldiers also checked the train by means of a walk through before leaving the station. Doors between cars were locked at 22.00 which is no issue for bathroom as there are two in each car.

    I was quite impressed and plan to use trains a lot more. It's a great way to travel and see the country.

    Hope they all have a good and safe trip.
