I believe the very flimsy water bottles, the ones that relax when the gas is released and that are around now are dangerous as they collapse when picked up. Could be a very simple cause of an accident.

I dont beleive it is that difficult even officially but you will need recent medical certificates from a Thai vet showing innoculations. As mentioned, low key unnoficial route may be best.
