    You missed a nice little goal from Ake and a good defensive effort. That's about it. Àlvarez hit a post. Dandy G played well. Looked like Stones did a hammy.

    I'm guessing no rants from Pep. A big day for the big fella. It would be interesting to know what's going on with Foden.

    Looks like Pep is trying to fire up the troops and he's likely on target with some of his concerns. The fact that the players have been so motivated for so long is pretty miraculous. Might take a magician to keep enough fire burning. Maybe Rico can set an example!

    Great comeback 3 points that was. Grealish finally starting to fit in. Mahrez was MOTM for me, and the kid Rico Lewis was tremendous. What a valuable addition he is going to be.

    Despite having the bulk of possession City are struggling to create decent chances. Add in that the big fella is not getting many touches. Pep has some work to do.

    Cancelo hasn't looked like himself post WC. Dias hasn't played a minute post WC. Phillips is clearly not up to it replacing Rodri. The rest of the lads look about the same to me, though they pretty much all stunk against Soton. The next few weeks should be an indication as to whether the squad is ready to fight for the title or not.

    What a footballer Rodri has become. Defensive force and all around bad ass. A pleasure to watch him.

    A much needed 3 points. Still struggling a bit in the final third. This side could use a big dollop of David Silva. Nice to see Dandy Jack having an impact lately.

    You'd think maybe Pep might want to start Foden more often? Why leave one of your best attacking players on the bench so often? You'd think Southgate was running City.

    Maybe Pep will stick both of them up top at times. He's done it before. He could also play Àlvarez out on the wing a bit, a la Mahrez. Pep is spoiled for choices! I'd expect Àlvarez to get a nice rest when he makes it back to the squad.

    That was the worst football has to offer. Ten minutes into the second half I started to consider suicide. Isn't Foden part of the squad? Is Southgate insane?

    I think the current handball rule is non-existent. Every ref has his own take.

    A lot of positive things have been said about Àlvarez but I'm thinking a loan might be helpful. He's not getting much time on the pitch and he's going to need that to adjust to the EPL.
