They say we get the leaders we deserve. Looking at the key players in the Syrian drama this is hard to believe. You couldn't put a cigarette paper between Trump, Putin, Erdogan and Assad as examples of the very worst kind of people on the planet.
We should hand give of them a magnum .357 each, fully loaded, and tell them to settle their squabbles on their own.
More than enough lives have been destroyed already at the bidding of political egomaniacs on an endless power trips.

What amazes me about the nation's avuncular leader and model of Thainess is the huge number of traditional Thai shirts he has in his wardrobe. He seems to wear a different one every day of the year. They must cost a bomb - and I reckon he has more than his notorious sidekick has watches.
Of course, he could just be borrowing them. . .

I don't know whether to be simply astonished or relieved as well that Thailand's "security" goons don't already have a portfolio on ALL student activists.
Hope for us politically-incorrect TV posters yet!

Bad news my elder daughter who is hoping to get into a top Thai university to take a bachelor's degree in clinical psychology. But full marks to this young lady for getting some much-needed work experience - hopefully, while studying for her Master's.
The very best of luck to her and the many thousands of other graduates - the biggest single unemployed group in Thailand - who are prepared to lower their vocational sights and roll up their sleeves rather than sponge on mair and por.

1 hour ago, simple1 said:"I'm not a fanatic" - LOL. You are again twisting the statement from Khan into a far right meme. We agree to disagree, anyone using the code words "white nationalist" are a disgrace and an internal danger to UK society as very clearly identified by HMG.
I for one do not support an authoritarian aryan ideologist i.e. Orban.
http://hungarianspectrum.org/2017/03/01/viktor-orbans-ethnically-homogeneous-hungary/
I am white. I also happen to be a nationalist. How on earth putting those two words together makes me or anyone else an "internal danger to UK society" - whether in the eyes of the government or anyone else - is beyond me.
Perhaps you are conflating nationalist with supremacist - which is exactly, of course, what the political/corporate oligarchy which runs our lives would expect and hope.
What is your nationality? You have so far not answered my question. Whatever it is, do you believe in your nation having political independence and full sovereignty? Because that is what nationalism means.
How threatening is that except to those who have an agenda which would deliver something different? And would you be on their side.
Neither would I.
I suggest you stop believing everything you are told by your trusted "HMG" and their tame mass media, start thinking for yourself and do some meaningful research into the causes and effects of mass Muslim migration on the UK and the rest of Europe.
By all means let us agree to disagree. But first let me make something clear, lest (in addition to my being a fanatic and white nationalist) you consider me racist or biased against a particular religion (actually, I'm an anti-theist).
I have no axe to grind against Muslims as individuals. But neither do I wish to see their numbers grow to the point where the UK becomes part of an Islamic empire with an alien totalitarian ideology not very different from communism and Nazism.
If that makes me a white nationalist and, by implication, an enemy of the state - then so bloody be it.

Should be ashamed of yourselves with the agenda of trolling, division and social disharmony. - patriot - what a farcical claim. You and others post in complete contradiction to advice of HMG security services.
"What Khan actually said was: “Part and parcel of living in a great global city is you’ve got to be prepared for these things, you’ve got to be vigilant, you’ve got to support the police doing an incredibly hard job. We must never accept terrorists being successful, we must never accept that terrorists can destroy our life or destroy the way we lead our lives.”
Terror attacks should not be "part and parcel" of living anywhere, particularly when they are the result of supporting US foreign policy which has led to the refugee crisis now submerging Europe.
It is time more of us contradicted the lunatic advice of HMG services if it will prevent them from re-admitting hundreds more British jihadists who deserted their adopted homeland to fight for Isis and other terrorist groups and who now expect us to throw down the welcome mat for them to wipe their blood-stained boots on.
You are the one who should be ashamed, if you British, for caring so little about what is happening to our country.

Sure,
Depends what ethnocentric view that you take of the world.
Historically speaking the French by 1910 understood that they were not producing anymore-at least not enough to fill up the ranks.. Muslim immigration has filled up the bottom ranks-just as in the USA the fruit pickers are all Mexican.
You want the lifestyle?
Live with it.
Far,far to late to cry over spilt milk now.
But not too late to put the cap on the bottle and save what's left from going sour.

The problem rested with the Thai people themselves
This is a first - the entire nation losing face big-time.

How about those grotesquely obese female British and Europeans getting down on their haunches and doing it for Western Civilisation?
What..they are not going to do it?Tell the French from 1915 onwards,,
It is perfectly evident that Western "civilization" requires females to work like a dog as well.
No time for babies or for nurturing.
That's all Greek to me.

a “high” migration scenario projects the record flow of refugees into Europe between 2014 and 2016 to continue indefinitely into the future with the same religious composition (i.e., mostly made up of Muslims) in addition to the typical annual flow of regular migrants. In this scenario, Muslims could make up 14% of Europe’s population by 2050 – nearly triple the current share, but still considerably smaller than the populations of both Christians and people with no religion in Europe.
AND...
nearly half of all recent migrants to Europe (47%) were not Muslim, with Christians making up the next-largest group.
There's nothing "fanatical" about facts, however much you may wish to pretend otherwise. Label me a "white nationalist" if you must, as I am an Englishman proud of his country and its cultural heritage.
Are you British? If so, I cannot share your complacency about what Britain will be like in thirty years or so, by which time, according the two most likely Pew forecasts, the Muslim population will be almost four times its present level.
The EU referendum result shows that a considerable proportion of British people, who have historically proved themselves among the most tolerant and accommodating in the world, share my concerns. The bottom line is that whatever “progressive” politicians may say about the joys of multiculturalism and inclusivity, most Brits are no longer prepared to pay the crippling economic and social cost non-selective mass immigration.
Nor do they believe in "learning to live with” the constant threat of terror attacks by Islamic extremists who have committed unspeakable atrocities in London, Manchester and other major populations centres in recent years. This, incredibly, was the advice of the laid-back Lord Mayor of London - currently presiding over the capital's worst-ever violent crime surge - following the latest attack by jihadists who learn a litany of hate from extremist Muslim preachers (including one so egregious that he was barred from Pakistan!) in an ever-expanding network of mosques, madrasas and taxpayer-subsidised madrassas.
Maybe we should heed what Sadiq Khan says. He is, after all, a Muslim.- 3

While Christians will remain the largest religious group in Europe, they are projected to drop from three-quarters of the population to less than two-thirds.
By 2050, nearly a quarter of Europeans (23 per cent) are expected to have no religious affiliation, and Muslims will make up about 10 per cent of the region’s population, up from 5.9 per cent in 2010.
A few months ago, The Pew Research Centre published a report which gave low, medium and high projections for the likely Muslim population of Europe by 2050.
I'm a believer in always preparing for the worst case scenario, so I have reproduced High forecast. This shows Sweden leaving everybody standing with a whopping 30 percent Muslim population, more than ten percent ahead of its closest European rivals Denmark, Germany and Belgium.
When the 2011 census was taken in my own homeland, the UK, Islam was already the second largest religion there with 2.8 million followers, or 4.4 per cent of the total population. If this latest estimate proves correct, the Muslim presence will almost quadruple over the next thirty years or so. Pew's Medium scenario for the UK is only slightly lower, with a prediction 16.7 percent Muslim.
The report also reveals numerous other little known disquieting facts about Muslim immigration - for example that from 2010-16 the UK took in more Muslim immigrants than any European country, including Germany, between 2010 and 2016.
It also confirms another disturbing reality for students of demographics - that incoming Muslims tend to be younger than the indigenous population and generally produce considerably larger families.
The Muslims who mostly make the headlines are luckless refugees from fighting in their own homelands. However, relatively few recent Islamic immigrants to the UK (60,000) have been refugees and the vast majority economic migrants. Altogether, 43 percent of all migrants to the UK between mid-2010 and mid-2016 were Muslims, with Pakistan - largest contributor to those notorious UK grooming gangs - among the main countries of origin.
The report a must read for anyone, religious or not, interested in the the demographics behind Islam's ongoing and seemingly unstoppable conquest of Europe. http://www.pewforum.org/2017/11/29/europes-growing-muslim-population/

The way things are going in Europe demographically, for those relatively few Christians who have been admitted it could prove to be a case of out of the Muslim frying pan into the Islamic fire.

‘Don't Dress Sexy’ Advice Triggers an Echo of #MeToo in Thailand
in Thailand News

I know you are being tongue in cheek, but it's a fact that respectable Thai women dress pretty conservatively in public. For example, the beaches, even those in tourist towns, aren't exactly awash with local girls wearing bikinis.
Most of the girls who flash their flesh during Songkran work in bars, massage parlours etc and the amount they display is a rough guide their status in Thai society.
Yes, I know it's blatant hypocrisy, but that's Thainess for you.
