  1. Like last time this discussion came around, I think the best pizza in Pattaya is from Dao's cafe on the Dark Side.

Where is this place? I have never heard of it but will give it a try and report my opinion.

I have had some decent pizzas and a couple of average ones at Le Mars in Jom on the beach about Soi 16 ish.

  2. True snake story. A friend's cousin is a policeman in Australia. One day on patrol he saw a man walking slowly around a parked vehicle on the side of the road. The man looked suspicious so the policeman stopped and asked what he was doing. The guy replied that he had run over a Tiger snake (venomous) and didn't see it come out the back. He would not have been concerned except he had done the same thing the week before and the snake had crawled up the underside of his vehicle. Then, when the guy returned to put his car in the garage the snake came out from under the car and attacked him. In the present case he didn't know what to do. The policeman cousin suggested the guy take his car to the garage for an oil change and lube job.

I have been nervous my self after running over some snakes and not seeing them in the rear vision mirrors. When I parked the car I got out quickly !!!

  3. I don't know about the flashlight trick, but a meter long piece of green bamboo that is 3 cm thick, and has a 3 inch screw threaded through one end, will make short work of any soi dog that tries to bite you. Just act like you don't notice it creeping up behind you and then swing around and nail it in the head. If they survive they won't do it a second time. It also works well on men who bother women at night.

Interesting method. I reckon you could use it on some of the Boozoos down on Walking Street early in the mornings too !!!!

  4. Villa grocery stores are very up to date with environmental concerns. You have to bring your own bags to the Nichada Villa. I'm sure the rule about the cars running is to save the environment. It probably concerns drivers who sit in a/c cars while waiting. Schools have this problem too.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Schools have the sign to stop people like me who happily leave the AC and car on for an hour if I have to wait out in the sun while the ex did her thing, (spending my money on crap she did not need).

  5. So, she had a job and then quit to live with you? Big mistake. Now, you are responsible for taking care of her and her family. I would say B10,000/month or whatever she was making in her job.

Yep, when she was working her guts out in a factory she was getting about 12,000B a month with OT, so that was the bench mark. That included the ludicrousness request to borrow money form her family as well. If they wanted money, she could loan it out of that. Not once was it ever paid back. Anyway, she is the ex now. I pay nightly now, much less stress. giggle.gif

  6. I have no idea about the law, but that is ignored for a few bat anyway !

I have read several western media report in the last year of families, one Australian and I forget the other country to name it, have a child born form a local woman for money. It was her egg and his sperm.

    Good luck. thumbsup.gif

  7. After reading the first two pages and the last one, I feel sick. What concerns me even more is I feel this is not just a one off. Didn't the tourism minister recently say that if a girl accepts a dinner with a man that this means he can have sex with her and it is not rape in regard to Bad Man In Krabi?

I feel like I want to vomit and meet this creep in a dark ally.
