The nightmare continues : "favorable safety profile" ? For children 5 years old ? How many months lasted those "trials" ? It's probably safe now. But in 5 years ? In 10 years ? Especially with young children who are still growing up ? The truth is as burning as the collective hallucination that is forced upon us : WE DO NOT KNOW. mRNA products are new. They have never been used on such large scale in such short period of time. And we do not know what are their long term effects. Anyone, especially commercial companies, who says "I know " is a liar or a lunatic.

Lying ? I just confront the facts with the speeches. You have decided to believe only the speeches, good for you. To say "we have to live with Covid" must be matched with acts and facts. To close anything (a restaurant there, a police station in CM, a factory, a boarding school, etc.) because a few cases can be detected among vaccinated people (who are not sick, most of them) is not "learning how to live with Covid". To keep borders closed is not "learning how to live with Covid". To keep preventing the population to earn a living, to work, to learn, to travel, to order a beer in a restaurant or a bar, is not "learning how to live with Covid". To keep curfews, whatever the times, is not "learning how to live with Covid".

What is fascinating... 18 months after the start of the pandemic... is.... the "Focus, Commitment and Sheer Fxxx Will" that the local authorities are displaying... in order to destroy the economy. Literally. The first months, it was perfectly understandable : new virus, not enough data, potentially very dangerous, in doubt better to be safe than sorry. But 18 months later ? We have a tsunami of data, from all over the world... and they all look the same, they all say the same. And we have a tsunami of vaccines now to protect the best we can (eventhough not 100 %) the people targeted by the virus. So why do we continue ? Look at the circus about "reopening Bangkok". October 1, then october 15, then november 1, and now "mid november".... We can all feel it : it won't happen any time soon.

The confusion is total.. It was supposed to be Pfizer ? Furthermore is it reasonable to launch "a research project"... with children ? We said that the target was to "vaccinate" the children... not doing "research"... What weird game the authorities are playing ?

Here we go.... It's reopening... without reopening. We had quarantine before (14 days).... We will have quarantine after the "reopening"... If we are lucky... 7 days... In any case, it won't change anything. Tourists (real) won't come. The high season is... dead. I'm wondering how many millions destitute people they need, with all the associated social and political problems.... to understand that their way of thinking is a total deadend ? We can live with Covid. The grotesque terror has to stop. Protect the real virus targets (old and fragile people) with vaccines... And let the vast majority of the population, not concerned by this virus, FREE and let them live normally.

It's just another proof that local authorities have too many powers. How the governor of Bangkok (or any province) is qualified ? He has no team of scientists with him. Governor is a political position : they take no risk, want to look good from Bangkok, the capital. Throw inside the equation... the virus... Then it's a recipe for disaster. There will always be a case, or 2, a few deaths and therefore a strong motivation to... take no responsability... and no decision at all. Closing the country was a national decision. To reopen the country must be the same. Governors, local authorities, who know nothing about the situation, and the stakes, should be sidelined. It's a emergency.

From reopening on november 1... we are now at : "tentatively in November". It doesn't sound good. ???? This calendar is simply absurd. It's totally impossible to give 2 doses of Pfizer to 4 millions of students... from end of september to end of october. Another knee jerk reaction, grand plan... because Thailand follows the orders of the Big Father.... China. Beijing just announced that 91 % of chinese children 12 to 17 years old... have already been vaccinated... So Thailand feels compelled to do the same. At least, to say the same. At this date.... only 18,4 of the thai population are fully vaccinated... It means many old thai people who need the vaccine... will come AFTER young children... It's just criminal.

That's not the point, even though I agree with you, this "pandemic" is not a killer. The point is : Asia works, thinks and reacts about cases. The vaccines do not change a thing to the number of "cases". The virus does not care about "vaccines" and "social distancing" and "masks" (proof : Israel, Singapore and others). Ergo : the madness will continue. OK. That's really positive (we are far from the so called "sandbox schools" (vaccination compulsory, 1 or 2 tests per week etc.).

There is an important update. A dozen international schools in Chiang Mai have received authorization to reopen "on site". One has even confirmed that they reopen... today.
