  1. The forum upgrade was nice in its infancy but the ever expanding assault on my eyes from the advertising has become intolerable.  The forum listings are now broken up and that was a step too far for me.  I understand the requirement for income on such a free site but it's gone way over the top in such a short time.

I will find my entertainment elsewhere from now on.  Good luck, TV.

The home office can only tell me if the application is complete or not, is there anyone else i can ring who can give me more advise on the application.

Not really, unfortunately.  You'll spend a fortune on phone calls, all to no avail and merely add to an already stressful situation.

I can only suggest to those that can stretch to the premium is to visit the PSC.  Did it for my wife's ILR four years ago.  It wasn't the most exciting day that we've ever had but mission accomplished.  My eyes still smart at the expense of it all - taxis to Croydon, hotel stay for early appointment, food, drink and 1400 quid of the hard earned for the visa.  Oh well, we've all been there.

Anyway, surely your husband has some ID to register with a GP.  Does he have his biometric card available?

  3. I have been using XendPay for a while now.  Funds usually take three days but they do offer excellent rates and you can pay what you want for a transfer fee, i.e. any amount or nothing.

XendPay rate this weekend is 46.11, Bangkok Bank 45.64.  Not even BB's TT rates compares to 46.11.

  4. Thanks for the heads up, kkerry.  Useful dongle and will be purchasing one for my wired Bowers & Wilkins earbuds.  I am interested in wireless earbuds but nothing on the market at present that I want to purchase.

Anyway, my newly purchased black iPhone 7+ should be here next week.

And you pay in US dollars so you get ripped off big time on the exchange rate as well as the rate being very poor right now.

The government cottoned on to a nice little earner ages ago and won't be giving it up any time soon.

Even before the USD scam, they shafted my wife and I with their fantasy GBP/THB exchange rate that was impossible to replicate at the money changers.

    Agreed, it's a huge con.

That's OK but that other thing was HUGE for the way I used the forum.

Is this coming back or not?

If not, I'll have a real learning curve to understand how to use this forum as before.

    Ermm, take your time.

Just trying to find 'benefits' to applying after a successful application last time.

The circumstances are even easier than last time, so looking forward to a yes ...

There are no benefits and the circumstances are not even easier than last time.

It's a fresh application and should be treated as such, unless you like living dangerously.
