The home office can only tell me if the application is complete or not, is there anyone else i can ring who can give me more advise on the application.
Not really, unfortunately. You'll spend a fortune on phone calls, all to no avail and merely add to an already stressful situation.
I can only suggest to those that can stretch to the premium is to visit the PSC. Did it for my wife's ILR four years ago. It wasn't the most exciting day that we've ever had but mission accomplished. My eyes still smart at the expense of it all - taxis to Croydon, hotel stay for early appointment, food, drink and 1400 quid of the hard earned for the visa. Oh well, we've all been there.
Anyway, surely your husband has some ID to register with a GP. Does he have his biometric card available?

And you pay in US dollars so you get ripped off big time on the exchange rate as well as the rate being very poor right now.
The government cottoned on to a nice little earner ages ago and won't be giving it up any time soon.
Even before the USD scam, they shafted my wife and I with their fantasy GBP/THB exchange rate that was impossible to replicate at the money changers.
Agreed, it's a huge con.

Be honest and highlight visa runs and trips where appropriate. You'll never go wrong with playing it straight. Keep it brief, though.

I think there are 16 entries in total ...
Edit: just list them all and leave no room for ambiguity. Sixteen trips isn't a great deal to evidence.

Just trying to find 'benefits' to applying after a successful application last time.
The circumstances are even easier than last time, so looking forward to a yes ...
There are no benefits and the circumstances are not even easier than last time.
It's a fresh application and should be treated as such, unless you like living dangerously.

I should add that the Laotians will take your baht all over the country. It is the no.1 currency in Lao.

Can I manage with Thai money there all the time? No exchange to Lao money and no US dollars?
Yes, but take small baht denomination, i.e. twenty baht notes.
My wife and I went to Laos about four years ago for a two day trip and took 10,000 baht worth of twenty baht notes and came out with a 7000 kip note and a residual amount of baht. The 7000 kip note is still knocking about in the kitchen draw somewhere.
The hotels and flights were already paid for and I had back up cash and credit cards should the need arise. The small denomination baht was a good choice as otherwise all your change from large baht notes will be settled in kip. No one wants kip, least of all the Laotians.

Am I allowed to express the opinion that this thread is the most boring I've happened across for quite some considerable time?

At least the FA have a sense of humour.

I can't see a problem here, Humble1. Your Thai wife was issued a six month visa so we can safely assume that the visa has already expired.
In addition, I would imagine your wife has been back in LOS for the last six months.
Apply for the next visit visa at your leisure, but make sure you treat the application as seriously as the first.

You'll be a millionaire this time next year.

Bank manager is on phone. He's happy and so am I.

This is laughable.

One more goal from mum's gone to Iceland and it's all over.

I always experience a feeling of impending doom if England get to half time level.

I'm 100% sure England will win this match.
Should win with the quality of the squad. Unfortunately, Woy's in charge.
An early goal by Wales then Woy goes in to complete meltdown. No Plan B for Woy.

Wales to beat England 6/1. Now that is good odds. England are odds on.

I have dual citizen kids and there has never been any problem at all with their status.
If my wife and I ever have kids then I'm certain of no issues either. I know a lot of Thai/UK couples in the UK with dual national kids and never a problem and not even a mention of it.
-
They only discourage it with naturalized citizens, not ones who were born in Thailand.
All sounds rather ambiguous to me, Johnniey.
Discourage is such a woolly term that my logic can't really cope with it. Still, TIT.
-
Thai discourages dual nationalities but does not prohibit his nationals to hold several nationalities at one time together with the Thai nationality.
I've never come across the idea that Thailand discourages dual nationalities.
My wife is Thai/British and never experienced any issues, whatsoever.
In fact when we entered LOS via Swampy three weeks ago, the immigration officer wanted to see my EVA Air sticker which was stuck to the back of my wife's British passport, which I duly handed over to him. It totally confused the hell out of him until I pointed to my wife at the immigration counter next to me [obviously, she was entering LOS on her Thai passport].
Anyway, the officer shrugged his shoulders, took down the sticker details and off we both went. No problem at all.
-
Exactly what I was thinking. That's a lot of passports your boy's got there, OP.
Shouldn't the thread title have been 'Multiple Nationality'?
-
yes, we have actually discussed this with a lawyer.
Thanks. What is the lawyer's appraisal of the refusal and future merits of an appeal?
