  1. I was wondering if anyone here has every imported a Virtual Pinball Machine to Thailand (from Aliexpress)

I would like to get this one: https://www.alibaba.com/premium/amusement+machine.html?from=rtbHourse&field=UG&src=rtbHourse&mark=drm0611&tagId=1600832382819&product_id=1600832382819&pcate=201926401&cid=201926401&campaign_id=37862&ad_group_id=160818&utm_source=rtbhouse&utm_medium=retargeting&utm_campaign=rtbhouse-retargeting&rtbhc=WqOsL6X9nJnGgpaK0FGvJgJ9GoxFm-9n0Sm5iU0KbAM.1600832382819.1704446519730

The Machine is for private use and costs just under THB 100K. The seller on Aliexpress says 500 USD will be added for shipping and import tax. (Door to door delivery)

I am however uncertain if this is true and worried my order will get stuck in customs... demanded to pay some huge extra amount.

Any chance anyone have experience with AliExpress and this kind of orders?

    Sorry for your loss.

If you are not a director, you will have nothing to do with the situation.

My understanding is that only directors have the liabilities.

The good thing about this forum is that if my understanding is wrong - lots of posters will correct me.

    Hi,

Thank for your reply. My name is not in the company. I was just worried that I could have inherited any problems as her husband. Also I dont want her sisters to have problems.

However, also asked my lawyer just now and he said not to worry. He says nothing will happen to anyone and the company will be closed 3 years after not filing.

The accountant however says the shareholders will be punished and the company must be closed properly. But she also has only money on her mind.

  3. Hi,

I am in the following situation:

    - My wife passed away last year.

    - She was shareholder of a company (owned 98%) and 2 of her sisters 1% each. My wife was the director of the company.

    - The company has been dormant for 7 years.

    - After wife's death the yearly reporting has not been reported.

    - I do not have contact with her sisters. Basically all they wanted from my wife and I was money.

I have contacted the accountant and she suggests I contact the two sisters to have them close the company. The accountant is really terrible and I suspects sees a way to make money through me. She suggests I pay for the closure as the 2 shareholders will not pay.

Question: Can I as the husband get caught in all of this? What can happen to the sisters, if they do nothing in relation to the company (which they will)? I worry they might seek revenge or something.

Any advice would really be appreciated.

So, explain to me the circumstances that justify leaving the scene of a crime, or a fight, after your victim has hit his head on the pavement, and appears to be unconscious. This appears to be atrocious behavior, regardless of how it all started.

Not saying anything justifies what the French guy did. Just saying that this was NOT an unprovoked attack on an innocent peaceful Thai-guy. And the media is for sure not showing it in the right perspective.

  5. Situation:

    - Have a 8 year old son with my Thai wife

    - We were not married, when he was born

    - My name is on the birth certificate and our son has 2 passports.

    - My wife has liver cancer

As I understand it, I currently have no legal rights to my son, as he was born before we married. Due to the situation with my wife illness, we both want to ensure I get full custody of our son ASAP. How is the best and most simple way to do this? Anyone know?

What happens if my wife dies before I get full custody?

Would really appreciate any help/advice.... Thanks!

  6. Situation:

Flying from Chiang Mai to Phuket on the 2nd of December with my son.

    I am double vaccinated.

He is 7 years old and not vaccinated.

As I understand, as double vaccinated I can fly without a Covid test. Is that correct?

Regarding my son, I have no idea and have tried to contact AirAsia who unfortunatly do not have any kind of real person support. (and can not find any info on their site and virtual help system) In short: AirAsia sucks and I truly regret booking with them.

Do anyone know what is actual needed?? Would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

  7. They can be dangerous! I made it 19+ years before she pulled out a gun.I blamed the change of life, regardless it changed mine! Spent the last 5 years with a new one . Can't even imagine waking up bedside a women my age (mid sixty ) I will stay with the crazy Thais

Sent from my GT-I9100T using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

If you are in a happy marriage then all is fine and the poor souls who get murdered or scammed are just the few unfortunate ones. Group 1

If you have been scammed one way or another you will see and hear about all the multitudes of others who have suffered the same fate and then you will realize how I'll nformed you were when you were in group 1

Sorry to be a pessimist, but I hear all of these guys happily married for 5, 10, 15 years, no problem. Then I hear horror stories that occur after 20 years, and there was a thread in the marriage and divorce section where a 30 year marriage turned into a nightmare.

All I can say is that it isn't over until it's over and I have no faith in a seemingly happy 10 or 20 year marriage in any country. Even in America a "happy" 20 year marriage can suddenly turn into an emotional and financial nightmare.

I certainly wouldn't get married to have a great sex life. It seems like marriage can often turn off the tap and you're stuck.

I'll stay single and keep my scalp and my money, and sleep with someone who's good at it, thank you.

I think there are some basic factors that always creates problems in many Thai/Farang relationships:

    1. The man often makes (or has) the money and supports the woman.

    2. Large age difference.

    3. Cultural misunderstandings or lack of understanding each other.

    4. Different language, educational level etc. causing many misunderstandings.

    5. Different expectations before and during the marriage.

    6. One or both have kids from previous relationships, which can turn out to be a problem.

    7. The woman expects that the man supports her mother, father etc.

    8. Farang-man and/or Thai-woman can not stop butterflying, partying etc.

In general, the smartest thing would be to stay single and just enjoy life while here - because there are so many things that can go wrong. Add to that many temptations (super hot girls) for us Farang-men here and the anger/jealousy of Thai-women, then you got the perfect recipe for an atomic-bomb.

So staying single is absolutely not the stupidest thing to do in Thailand (Was also my plan...). Just make sure you avoid "the one" and do not fall in love ;-)

  8. Since you are officially both tourists - and do not own assets in this country, I can not see how any business disputes can be solved in Thailand.

What does it state in your business agreement? Was it a Thai-company before? If everything is unrelated to Thailand, then I can not see any problem.

Are you a lawyer or do you have advanced specific knowledge of Thai law?

If there is no contract, no company, no income and only a website, then who can prove anything?

No, I am not a lawyer, but I have lots of experience (also from similar cases) and in this case, I would not be worried at all. It is just one partners word agains the other and nothing else.

  9. Sorry I wasn't clear...our previous work permits were for completely seperate companies...neither company is in any way involved in this dispute. Since I have since left my company, I was planning on going home. Our previous agreement was for a website, and it is an informal contract, no registration or anything in Thailand.

It has made no money, though we have both invested money in creating it.

Do you still think there is a way he can do this?

If you do not have a contract and it is not related to a Thai-company, then I can not see that there should be any problem. Without a signed contract, you would even have a hard time fighting it out, in your own countries.

  10. My guess on invention would be "Ladyboys" and the development of making them become generally accepted in society.

Can't think of another countries where a man can wear a dress, without people laughing their heads off...

Transgenderism is more common than you appear to think all over south and south-east Asia. The first male to female operation in Asia took place in Singapore in 1971. Bugis Street used to be heaving with trannies as did Butterworth in Malaysia then there are the hijras of India.

Well, guess I don't come the right places then :-)

  11. How do we know, it was not one of the many homeless Farangs living in Thailand that harassed her? Would seem logical right?

...Guy goes to Thailand and finds girlfriend. She scams him for all his money. He becomes homeless, but decides to take the bus to his embassy for them to help him. With 20 THB left, he decides to spend it on a bit of fun... Yes, must be a Farang! Thai guys would never do something like this.

Joking aside... Finally a situation, where I agree with the police. Sad he goes to jail for a few days, when rich kids here can kill policemen with their car and never go to jail. Thailand has much more serious stuff to take care of than this woman.
