A few yrs ago I signed up with itbit in new york and they did thorough KYC and AML checks on me. I passed and they have my thai address in the system. They will wire funds to your thai bank account. They are now called Paxos. (ibit by paxos). They are highly regulated and really professional

Avoid coinbase at all costs. what a pathetic exchange that is. Constantly hearing about them freezing user accounts

Yes, all fine that you set up the exchange in the US and gave your Thai address, but try to set up an exchange in the US from Thailand and you are in for disappointment.

Have any American expats signed up for a crypto exchange while living in Thailand?  If yes, which exchange did you use?

Tried to sign up for a Binance.US account but their drop-down menu for, "which state do you live in" doesn't allow me to type in my Thailand address.

Having similar problems with Coinbase Pro; their system instantly detected my IP address was in Thailand and promptly advised me that they do not yet serve Thailand.

Most of my currency holdings are located in US banks in US dollars, which is why I want a US based exchange.

I no longer have an address in the US so I must use my Thai address.

You can sign up and be accepted by US exchanges, but can't sign in from Thailand because they don't accept ID verification from abroad.... even if you use a VPN.   Anybody have a workaround for this problem?

  3. I am getting confused on ThaiVisa, we do not want topics like this, well I do not, go and see the bloody doctor or are you that short of money cannot afford the village doctor.

Next thing we will see is some guy asking if his ass is ok because he has started farting to many times and getting skid marks in his pants.

Oh by the way guys my little dog does a poo and then pulls his ass along the ground, is she scratching it or wiping it.???

Your dog is itching. She has worms. coffee1.gif

  4. You don't have it so bad. I live across the street from a biker bar. It's amazing what humans can get used to. I still wake up momentarily each time one passes, but fall right back to sleep. I think having the right attitude might help. I will eventually move, but expect some other bothersome thing will take the vroom, vroom's place. I came to Thailand to relax and no motorcycle can stop that.

  5. Amazon will now ship to Thailand. Mine will arrive next week unless a postal worker steals it.

The screen on my present one went belly-up and is way out of warantee. Went to Pantip Plaza to see about repair, they all just laughed. Called Amazon to see if they could repair it, but they do not do repairs. So I upgraded to the one with built-in light and Amazon gave me a $30 credit. Nice of them since they didn't have to do anything.

  6. If Thailand allowed foreign tour companies to bring in tourists along with their own guides, tourism would really increase. Every culture would like a tour guide from their own country because most of the dialog to the travelers is about the differences between their own culture and the one they are visiting. It's a huge part of the travel experience. Thai-only guides could never provide this level of nuance.

  7. When attending a travel professional simenar in Los Angeles a few years ago, one speaker quoted 47 different prices for airline seats on one flight on one particular day. And that was just for coach class. There are just too many variables the airlines use for anyone to understand.

My advice: Buy at least 3 months in advance with the best deal/airline you can find and don't ever look at prices for that flight again (unless you pay full refundable price).
