Here is a pic of the roast beef selection and trimmings... all good!

What's that white and yellow stuff? I'm guessing cauliflower cheese and piccalilli.

Yes, cauliflower cheese... very good. The other, top of plate is the pumpkin relish.

  4. Mysterious death in Chiang Mai

    December 28, 2013 3:42 pm

An 84-year-old foreigner, identified later as Paul Lincke, was found dead near Doi Suthep, Chiang Mai.

On his side was a 9mm gun and a bullet case, said Pol Capt Winai Ravidej. His relative said the retired German soldier, who had been in good health, had been living in Chiang Mai for 14 years.

From the bullet trajectory, Lincke could have shot himself.

The cause of death would be further investigated, the police officer said.

  5. Steve, I am equally surprised and shocked that The New York Times would publish such a defamatory paragraph regarding your company without proof.

Have you demanded a retraction and apology?

Did any fact checkers from the NYT contact management at your company before going to print?

While we understand that this type of sensational news sells newspaper, we are disappointed that the NY Times would publish such article without verifying their facts first. We have higher expectations from the NY times.
  6. Just finished Xmas lunch here and we really enjoyed it. It is definitely the best valued holiday set meal in town.

The turkey wonton soup was delicious, mixed salad- fresh and crunchy.

Ham plate came with delicious potato salad and the turkey plate and dressing was also very good.

Served with sweet potatoes and corn on the cob.

Very large portions - we brought the pies home for a late night snack.

Thanks John and staff for a very nice afternoon!

    Did they move?

"Mr. Walter M. Braunohler, spokesman of the US Embassy in Bangkok, told Khaosod today that the US wishes to see peaceful solution in the ongoing Thai crisis.
In a telephone interview, he firmly denied the allegations made by the anti-government protesters, stating that the United States has no wish to interfere in the Thai politics."

Well now we all know its all quite the opposite. even if they "wish" not to interfere.

  12. Dec 04, 2013 BEIJING, China - Air China Limited, or Air China for short, will introduce its Wuhan-Chiang Mai service on December 10. The twice-weekly flight CA705/6 will operate on Tuesday and Friday.

After the introduction of Air China's Beijing-Chiang Mai service on November 7, the Wuhan-Chiang Mai service will further expand the carrier's Southeast Asian schedule, offering another easier travel option for passengers. It will tap into the huge travel market from Wuhan to Chiang Mai. It will also be a worthy addition to Air China's global route network, allowing passengers, especially those from east China, to make the transfer to Chiang Mai via Wuhan instead of via Beijing.
