1. It says on said Facebook page the 'embassy has been informed', apparently.

Quote: "We have been given advice to stop the social media on this now. It may get him killed. The embassy are involved & we have to wait it out but the situation is better than earlier"

Maybe we should heed the advise & stop talking about his allegations.

I for one would not like to be in his shoes right now.

  2. There has been footage of the male victim walking alone & it has been said that he returned to his hotel. When he discovered that the female victim was not there, he went looking for her.

For what it's worth, I think a likely scenario could be, the girl took a walk on the beach for no other reason than to be beside the sea. She came across a few guys having a smoke or playing music etc etc & because she didn't feel threatened she shared a smoke & chat with them. Things got out of hand & they attacked her.

David, who has being searching for her, comes across a scene of rape & tries his best to save young Hannah but due to the number of other guys there, he is beaten down & killed. Hannah suffers the same fate as she is a witness.

Unfortunately, the truth will never be known because even if they do catch these guys, the stories will be so far fetched that Stephen King could not write it for them.

  3. I have my first 90 report coming up as well

I'm on retirement visa issued in Chonburi but I am now living in Pathum Thani, do I have to prove my new address or do they take your word for it.

I will do the reporting in person so is form TM.47 & my passport all that I need to bring with me or do I need some photos & photo copies of relevant pages in my passport.

Thank you in advance for the correct procedure & any words of wisdom that get offered.

    Hi guys,

I have just done my 90 day report in Nonthaburi so I will answer my own question & it may be of some help to others:

    Arrived at office 8.45am & departed 9.05am Tues 5/8/2014

Things I was asked for: Passport, copies of First page, current visa & landing card, TM47. I was not asked for proof of address or photos.

In & out in 20 minutes. Staff were very friendly & the whole thing was painless.

Thanks to all that replied to my query.

Don't know where they got the name from. My dictionary defines 'hoy' as:

    1) A shellfish

    2) A device for extracting money.

    2 is the right answer.

I think you are mistaken......A Hoe would be a device for extracting money

  6. I can't believe I've read all 10 pages of replies & the OP still hasn't got the message.

He says early on "Go easy on me, I'm only a newbie"

I think that should read "Go easy on me, I'm as thick as two short planks"

Which bit of "Don't do it" does he not understand.

Maybe he was dropped on his head as a baby & has trouble taking good advice on board.

  7. Just so people know, the triple entry doesn't add any time compared to the double entry. It still has a 6 month 'Enter by' date, the same as a double entry. It will allow you to leave the country and enter again an extra time if you are traveling, but other than that it offers no advantage, both have the duration length.

    Som Wat,

when you say "no extra time" and "enter by date", do I have to use my 3 entries by a certain date?

I entered back in November 2013, got 30 day extension in January 2014.

Did my border run in Feb 2014 to validate part 2 of my visa & then got 30 day extension in April 2014.

I am now about to do another border run to validate part 3 of my visa......am I still ok time wise from date of issue of the multiple entry tourist visa October 8th 2013.

I notice a date on the visa which says Entry Before 7th April 2014 but does that mean 1st entry or the whole visa has to be used up by then?

    Confused but hopeful

    PD

The visa is valid for 6 months. You can see the date in your passport. And you must enter Thailand (3 times) before it expire.

So as that clearly says ENTRY BEFORE APRIL 7th 2014, it means the 3rd part of my triple entry visa is worthless, correct?

What do I get so, 15 day entry?

So many different opinions here, I was told back in August to get a triple entry visa & get you 3 x 30 day extensions and you can have 9 months here hassle free (more or less).

Have no clue about your question but am interested to know where a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa was obtained .

I got it in Ireland last September....€120 if memory serves me correctly.

    Thanks for quick replies.....

A multiple entry tourist visa from Ireland ?

Did it allow 1, 2 or three entries ? Or Multiple entries as in as many as is wanted ?

Maybe the Irish are different !

Yes it is a Triple Entry Tourist Visa...

  10. the wife bought a laptop from tesco lotus in pranburi, and it had a 7 day, no questions asked returns policy.

it had windows 8 on it, but neither of us liked it, so we took it back after a few days and they refunded all the cash no problem

At the touch of a button you could have converted to Windows 7.

I would kiss & caress that "magic" button if I could find it.......I hate Windows 8

  11. While you all cast aspersions on her looks, her status and her work ethics, no one seems to wonder why it has taken her nearly two weeks to come forward and declare herself "alive".

You would think that as soon as the boyfriend was arrested and charged with her murder, that she would be screaming "hey boys, I'm here, alive & well"

She claims that her concern is that her family might think she is dead.......why wait two weeks?

There are more questions than answers

  12. I have been following the postings here for several months now but this is my first post. I will try to keep it simple and I hope I come away a lot wiser than when I arrived.

My partner (Thai national) and I are buying a restaurant that comes with a Thai limited company and 2 work permits. A few questions:

    1. If she is 100% owner, can I use one of the work permits for myself & what type of visa should I apply for.

    2. If we are 51% & 49% partners, do I need a work permit & what type of visa should I apply for in this case.

    3. Are work permits renewed every year, ie. do you have to prove that you still have all the Thai nationals working at your business to hold on to the 2 WP

    4. I always thought that you need 4 Thai's on the payroll to get 1 WP but this company we are buying only have 5 Thai's and 2 WP, does this sound correct?

OK that's my pitch, I know some of you guys are very knowledgeable and I appreciate all the advice and wisdom you will put my way.

    Thank you.

  13. Police suspect the man was murdered in a different location and then dumped in the canal.

So underwater dismembering is completely ruled out then. thumbsup.gif

Neat cut most likely done with a chainsaw!!! Please tell me how one can operate a chainsaw underwater. Also, why would you want to dismember someone underwater in the first place???
Why all this rubbish about underwater business------ read it properly-----"A DRY CANAL"

Your unwarranted comments makes for very distasteful reading for any relatives------RIP

Relatives won't be upset.......they don't know he's dead. He is unidentified and Mystic Meg is not on the case

  14. How much does Tango™ cost?

Tango uses your data network to place video calls and does not use up the minutes of your calling plan. If you have purchased an unlimited data plan, then your mobile provider will not charge you for using Tango. If you have a plan that limits your data consumption, then on average, approximately 2GB of data will be used if you make 450 minutes of video calls over 3G or 4G. Or connect over Wi-Fi for free calls wherever you are!

Remember that Tango uses your phone’s data plan. If traveling outside the country, make sure your mobile plan covers international data roaming so there aren’t any surprises on your bill when you get home. Call your mobile service provider to ask about international calling and data plans before you leave.

" If you have a plan that limits your data consumption"

I assume this applies to you as you appear to be a miserable <deleted>*ker, so yes, you are right, it is not free.

  15. Tango

    Viber

My Thai GF uses both of these to free call & free text me. You can also send video message with Tango

Neither of those programs calls European numbers for free, not very helpful. Anyone else?

But thanks anyway wouldn't have gone a miss I'm sure.

    Just saying.

    Many thanks Jambco984,

    A thank you costs nothing.
