  1. Mike shopping mall has patters best selection. (after fist purchage of 4000 baht, you can get a discount card.... :D but the underground parking is now not anymore free :o

On Sukhumvit highway you also have a good shop between Pattaya-Tai and Pattaya-Klang called Brown farm shop i believe....

But best stuff and prices are still in Central Banga Bangkok :D

  2. Tiger,

Threw the brochure away, so i have to recall from memory......

5 year (they call it lifetime) around 150.000

    1 year around 45.000

they also had something cheap if i recall.... something like 25.000 but in that case you had to pay every month a 3000 baht fee.

but hey, i could be wrong as it was a month ago that i had a look at the prices. :o

  3. Avoid anything on third road or any local thai hangout - the last thing they want to see is farang. All the girls in these places are for Asians only, preferably rich thai/japanese/korean etc.

Third Road has by far the best entertainment if you are looking for Thai's. New Bar/Disco's are beeing opened as fast as they can built currently. :o

And I have never had the feeling that we were not welcome.

Another one on the list of 3rd road is The Cottage both with Blue Chilly my favorites! :D .

The best map i have come cross is available here:

    http://www.pattayatelephonedirectory.com/i.../pattayamap.gif

It will not help you as Baan Busaba is far outside this map..... :D

Last night by accident i came accross the satelite maps from google. You can not search for Pattaya on them but if you use the cursors and go down the coastline you will find Pattaya as well :o

    http://maps.google.com/

    type in: bangkok

    Push the satelite button.

    and use the navigation.:D

Go down the Chao Praya and then Coastline

Leamchabang & naval base Sattahip are easy to spot.

With ADSL its loading quite fast.

    Have Fun :D

Heared once from a friend that Mountain Spring (white pickups with blue logo) had a licence to supply to the food industry.

We use them, and the water has a nice taste. Price per Bottle is 45 baht. replacement system and initial cost for the first bottle 200-250 Baht i believe (i know they are the most expensive one too... )

Home delivery (we call this number when we run out: 01-9499794)

    Greetings

    Peter

    Thanks,

The implications are quite serious from this news report.

I wonder just how often these water companies are checked and which is the safest bottled water to drink? :o

  8. I always use a shop, 2 shophouses left of Decorum (Friendship Supermarket)

350 Baht per 100 or 450 dubble sided. (2 colour around that figure)

Lady speaks okey English, and sample on the fly.

    Peter :o

  9. Always use PostNet (sort of franchise business throughout Thailand) they are in most Big-C & Lotus stores. (at least in both Lotus & Big-C in PattayaTai)

Never had any problems, almost same rate as postoffice, parcel boxes are available too, and no waiting queue's.

  10. Vote for Satit Udomseuksa

My daughter will go to third grade after summer, and we are happy with the last 2 years.

Allthough they 'advertise' that they are 'International' (probably they mean many Nationalities on the school). 75% is in Thai the Rest in English (so far i can see during these 2 year). But they provide extra English lessons at Second Grade Up. My daughter catched up a reasonable amount of English (we speak Thai at home), so iam satisfied. :D

Nice parking Lot (comes in hand if you pick up your child yourself), Nice swimmingpool, and dining area, and large playground.

Classes of around 15 kids, mix of Thai, Koreans & thai/europe.

Everything has its price, a higher level of English education will probably also bring in higher tution fees. :o
