Ever considered it took 5 years to get sufficient and biding evidence so that they have a case against him?
No, not really, didnt give it a thought, i just remember the cases with clear evidence and where NOTHING happens ..no bull............or RED BULL for that matter

They don't all, some people drive far too slow and they can be just as dangerous as the ones who drive too fast.
especially when crossing main roads or doing u turns...............they pull out with loads of time then dawdle like a moron so that you end up slamming the brakes on to avoid them when really there was plenty of time for them to be out and gone

I didn't think getting lost was one of the many problems with the van network.
Wouldn't regularly checking the vehicles and drivers throughout the year be a more productive method?
Yes, but they do often get lost, mainly in ditches and off crevasses etc

GPS data can presumably be used to give a record of a journey, particularly with regard to speed, which may reduce the opportunity to blame defective brakes, evil spirits etc.A "spy in the cab" of sorts.
I imagine that a relatively simple smart phone app would allow real time monitoring of vehicle speeds and locations, again a "spy in the cab". Of course this will be dependent on an effort being made to monitor this data...
Just like the cctv footage I suspect a lot will be "turned off" conveniently

Over the top or shooting fish in a barrel?
remember the work of 10 Thais can be done by one man normally, it needs 5 just to check their phones and one to do the arrest.......... the other four are asleep

As usual, all the Thai Bashing critics out in force. Do you know how the accident happened ? Was the bus forced off the road by another vehicle ? No one has a clue from reading the news accounts posted in this thread. Let me amend that - most posting have no clue ... Until the accident investigation is concluded, maybe express sorrow for the lady killed, and those injured, and spare us from your usual vitriol.
Thats right as this is such a "rare" event eh?

Probably would have done 120km/hr and wondered how
the 'accident" occurred
NO...................what they tend to do round here is sit in the outside lane of the dual carriageway and cruise along at 60-80kph absolutely REFUSING to move over under ANY circumstances as any change to the steering would have them fall over.............usually FULL of pineapples which are VERY heavy.
Seen many turned over with pineapple s all over the road, theyre totally selfish lazy ferkwits

For some here who are blaming the TVF community for this guy's stated problems, I think that's off the mark.
I didn't read this story the first time around, but just went back and read thru all of this thread and all of the original thread on this guy's story.
Nobody here was particularly "attacking" the guy verbally. Yes, there were a few posts wondering if he had a work permit and discussing that issue, but to me that's hardly surprising under the circumstances. And none of those posts were "attacking" the guy.
So, if he's in fact getting real grief from somewhere, I really don't think it's coming from these pages.
PS - Also, in the various posts here, I found nothing indicating this guy actually has Thai citizenship, though some people were discussing if he did.
..
And I saw nothing to support his "Pilot" story and due to his age he would have to had been a pilot "after" he had his accident or he would have been the worlds youngest commercial Captain..............which may be the case.....either way I dont care if he sells burgers or not............his last fight ended in a loss in 4 rounds according to spewtube

A minor implosion unfolding on facebook. Appears much of the grief is in Thai. Close the page, NNB.
Would not surprise me if the focus is non thai visa preoccupied issues, ie documentation.

I dont see the problem for him if he has Thai citizenship in fact Id be basking in the media attention to get more customers.
I see TV is doing its bit by re advertising his facebook page and trying to contact him............before you start slagging off all the negative views.

I do not wish to take anything away from this man, trying to make an honest living despite his condition. Good on him, and that's a lot of strength and will. What I fail to understand is, what is it with Thais and underprivileged foreigners making an honest living? Why do they all go gooey and jelly-kneed? I don't see them bat an eyelid if it was a crippled Thai trying to make an honest living and put food on the table.
theyre simplistic

No, you didn't. You thought you did. But you are wrong. Because you are not the least bit lovable. Oh, don't be offended, I mean nothing personal. I am sure you are a bang-up kind of guy and the bar doesn't come alive until you are parked on your stool.
What I mean is that you bring nothing to the table for a Thai woman to love. You look different, don't speak her language, know nothing about the movies, music, religion, stories, celebrities, and on and on that she grew up with, your nose is too big and as the day wears on you begin to emit a distinctly farangy odor.
What was that you said? We look like Brad Pitt do we? Do me a favor and go watch a couple of lakorns on Channel 7. Do any of the guys look Mr. Pitt? No, because he is too big (buffalo-like), too muscled (reeking of labor class, rather than the lounge set) and too darned ugly (yep, it's relative, where Nadech's the epitome of good looks Brad Pitt is about as hot as Bill O'Reilly).
You spent 7 years learning Thai and now read, write and speak? Sorry but all your fluency in Thai does is make you a slightly odd Thai-wannabe farang who just might have other quirks, rather than an honest to goodness off-the-boat farang. In fact your knowing Thai gets you exactly to the point where Thais can see what you don't have a clue of, particularly, Thai culture, values, etc., etc. I am not knocking learning Thai. It's very useful. But it doesn't make you lovable.
But you found a well-educated English speaking hiso Thai lass who loves you for your Western self? BS. The guy she really was lusting after before you came into the picture was that kid from the XYZpong family studying to be a doctor, the skinny one, with the mildly feminine features, with a shade of a mustache and a hairy mole under his left cheek. And she almost had him until that total bitch from Korat, who dresses like a slut and was known once to have put out to a motosai guy after getting drunk, stole him. At that point you became the consolation prize.
You know what it is about consolation prizes right? Athletes train for years, end up third from last, make a nice speech about how just participating made it all worth it, and gracefully accept a consolation prize. Then when they get home they shut the door, fly into a rage, hurl the prize across the room, and stamp on it till it's a thousand pieces. Yep, that's you and little Miss Hiso.
Ah, you are rich? Now, we are talking. Not about true love but a true arrangement. You support her and mom and dad and the lazy brother, and buy a car and build a house and in return she cooks, cleans, and grits her teeth once a week through boom-boom.
True love? Just around the corner.
On the other hand my Wife is the bread winner and as such I retired early.
She bought me a car, then a motorbike, pays for my flights in and out have unlimited access to her accounts and my own.....................10+ years now.............shes 25 im 79.........................just kidding! ( about the age Im really 93!)
