These people are no different from the Chinese. They will find loopholes to continue to hunt and eat whales, dolphins, pangolins and tigers.
Are you being sarcastic or just utterly stupid for saying that the Japanese are no different from the Chinese.
Because,I don't think the Japanese eat Pangolins neither Tigers.
FYI, shark flake is the most type of common fish to be served in Australian Fish & Chips. So sharks are fine but Whales aren't?
And there must be a reason why dolphin-safe label exist right?
It's not just what you call "These people" that eat marine life.

There is a theory that Asians (not just Thai's) have a different perception of personal space and regard for people outside their immediate circle. Therefore people will stand 2 abreast on escalators without regard to the people behind them. For in their perception they don't know these people therefore they don't exist. This can extrapolated to safety issues. Add to this the Buddhist belief that you will be reborn and everyone has a preordained time to die and the facts speak for themselves. When you add this to the mix of almost zero health and safety regulations (or at least H&S res that are followed) and its a dangerous place to live.
Next door to me is a building site with all the H&S signs forbidding workers on site without helmets and safety boots etc etc. The other day I counted (on 25 workers) three safety helmets, no safety boots and a welder without any eye protection.
Perhaps you can provide the source of this theory? Or I'll just assume that it is your theory.
It's true that Asians have different perception of personal space and regard for people outside their immediate circle, but you would hardly see two people standing in a row on escalator in Japan.
If this theory can generalize whole Asia as (For in their perception they don't know these people therefore they don't exist. This can extrapolated to safety issues.).... can I generalize that all farangs will never act without minding other people?
How's that for a theory

The jungle is the best place for you to live if you don't want to pay for the service you received.
Where do you get the idea that someone would give a daM about your bill?

Warn about what,,everything is normal. Thailand is the most safe place on earth. It's ok...Mai pen rai rok
You must be joking, when you say Thailand is the most safe place on earth. Daily assaults, robberies and very dangerous roads and now political turmoil. Thailand has become a dangerous place, time has come to spend the money elsewhere.
Obviously am joking. Irony.....

To bad they did not survey America. It would have been an interesting result I think.
What's wrong with American people in using English Language?... In Philippines we are using American English the pronounciation and spelling are easy to remember. In Philippines there are many engineers, architects working in UAE, lots of nurses, caregivers and doctors working in western countries. If there's a problem in using american english so why filipinos are very competitive and can find a job abroad and can win in international beauty pageant ( the contestant can answer the questions ) and any competition.
Now tell me what's wrong in using American English????????
The problem here in Thailand is most people are not interested to learn...........
I think rotary didn't mean by American English but the American's themselves.

Don't know about Samui but I offer these points.
Our daughter, now aged 13 goes to my wife's old school, probably the best Public School in Chiang Mai, "Wattanothaipayap," we sent her there
after we returned from a couple of years living in Australia. Our daughter is always either top or second in English in her class and recently scored very high marks in an inter-school English competition.
I wanted to use a Private School but my wife, who majored in English at Teacher's College here in CNX, insisted that her "old school" would be fine. She has been absolutely right. The school is well disciplined, we've had home visits by the class teachers,( I suspect these are done with very little "advance notice" just to check out the home environment) and we recently had a group of my daughters friends home to learn European style cooking.
These "kids" were so polite and they fitted in very well. It was also my subtle way of finding out what my daughter's school mates are like. I'm very pleased to say that I couldn't have wished for better. They all take their studies seriously and share a friendly rivalry.
Just thought you might want to consider these points while deciding on which type of school to use in Samui.
All in all, I think this Public School is far better than the Private Schools I attended in Australia at great cost to my parents.
Hope this helps!
Actually yupparaj wittayalai is the best public school in Chiang Mai. And Wattano is the second. But it's pretty much the same though.

Hi KRaymond
It was announced yesterday the government has withdrawn the amnesty bill, not going through with it, it was a 300+ to 1 votes to withdraw it.
Yeah my comment was made yesterday. And although it may seem not but i was actually joking. *-*
-
I wonder what's going to happen IF the amnesty bill gets passed and all the criminals are released....Apocalypse lol
Huh??? The 'amnesty' was not intended to release 'all criminals' or petty criminals like these, but only those individuals involved in political disturbances from the past few years. Of course, there are people around here who would like to believe that every criminal on the street (such as this guy) must be a red shirt...
chill out boy....re-read the post hes joking...oooooooow
Seems like someone is pretty stressed out. LOL

Statistics show that at least 40-50% of injuries in accidents occur from not wearing a seat belt.
Am I mistaken? cause what I see is the driver eating, drinking talking on cellphone, sleeping, drunk, while driving.

So much for telling someone else to go back to grade school. Your ignorance is not so different from the Chinese after all.
