We have around 10 lemon trees on our farm in Korat.

2 of them I bought. The others I grew from seed. They are pretty hardy, easy to grow and give lots of fruit.

If it's easy to grow, then why is it that we can find green lime everywhere but hardly any lemon in Thailand?

We have 2 lemon trees on the property in CM - - I don't think there is much looking after done - and there always seem to be plenty of fruit... I boil them with apples and make delicious juice...

Any photos of your lemon tree?

Yeah, AA's customer service was not too great in the past, now its non-existent. I never did have any problems with outrageously late flights or anything else, but yes, you'd often as not have to wait half an hour 20 minutes after the scheduled departure time on the Bangkok-Roi Et route. I've flown them from Don Muang to various places in Indonesia and back here a bunch and Nepal several times and they did what they print on the can, no issues, I was happy, its the best value, but I draw the line at not opening any communication lines, thats a bad precedent for me to support with my buying their tickets.

Update: I just went through the steps of booking a flight with AA and when you do that you reach a step in the process where  they ask you to agree to something that says you understand that your ability to get on the plane is still contingent on whatever the COVID decrees are in the country of boarding and exit. I don't know what Thailand's policy is regarding domestic flights, I suppose I should research that, but what you read everywhere all the time regarding international flights of course is that you have to at least have a negative test result within the last couple of days before your departure.

One guy in this thread says he didn't have to show COVID documents, but as we know, in Thailand they enforce rules sporadically sometimes selectively for various reasons. I'm not saying I don't want to hear what people's experience was, to the contrary, I really appreciate that, but there may be info that is more conclusive floating around regarding what Air Asia's rule is.

So, ya see, this is what i mean though about not liking no contact info, you have to try and guess what it is you need to do, kind of ridiculous, but what choice apart from the bus do you have? Bus would not be bad if it weren't for the complete mess that the Morchit central bus station area is in and I think now they don't take you any further  than Rangsit, so your taxi fare into Bangkok plus 1,000 baht for the bus ticket must now put you into range of what it costs to fly Air Asia from up country. But I don't know I haven't taken the bus to Bangkok in about 4-5 years.

Airasia is almost always late for international flights. The fare is the only good thing about Airasia.

For domestic flight, I would think Nok Air is better if you don't mind the higher air ticket.

Are you non-vaccinated? For international flight, they do check your vax cert upon arrival, not sure about domestic.

That's a really nice big lemon you have there. Lemons are expensive to buy in Thailand.

How long does it take for you to grow your lemon tree? Does it need a lot of water and fertilizer?

Flew AA recently. No covid stuff required anymore. Planes were good.

No idea why you hate AA. Used them many times. Great discount airlines.

Airasia 's customer service is horrible, they will send you to an internet bot who has no idea what you want.

Their planes are almost always late by an hour, if air-ticket is the about the same price as others, it's better to take other airlines.

Unlike western countries like USA or Canada where there is ample parking space, the parking space in Thailand is pathetic and the roads much narrower.

So it's better to buy smaller cars and not big cars.

Furthermore, the way that the Thai people ride their motorbikes will potentially cause more accidents if you have a big car.

This is the first time I hear 2 bank acounts are ok? How does the bank letter work confirming you have sufficient amount of money when you don't.

Even if it's ok it seems like a lot of work. Go to 2 banks to get a letter, than get an updated bank book. If one of your bank accounts is SCB good luck updating as chaeng watthana has no branch.

I did 2 bank accounts a few years back, because I was moving my money from one bank to another.

    Getting 2 bank letters isn't a problem.

Great. I figured it was ok, just wanted to be safe.

Part two of my question: What if I transfer money from one Bangkok Bank account to another. Does the 800,000 baht need to show that it came a international transfer? and the Bangkok Bank internal transfer would not show the money as a international transfer.

I did put my money into two different accounts on two different banks (SCB and Bangkok Bank) before and the immigration accepted it.

The transfer can be done but must be shown to be on the same day on both accounts (if the amount fall below the required 400k or 800k on either one of the account)

Still waiting for the days when 40 BHT will be one USD as It was when I had to flee my nomadic living in Europe to Thailand. I have also witnessed the dark days when one US was mere 29 BHT. More importantly I am waiting for interest rate to go up so that I can borrow money from CC at 3-4% and earn in saving at 6% as I used to before the 2008 housing crash. 100K borrowed from CC at 3% used to net me 2,000 USD or 80,000 BHT at 40 BHT per USD with zero risk.

    What does CC mean?

The Chiang Mai Photographic Group is still in Post Covid mode and while our website is still up, activities in the forum are virtually non-existent at the moment.  You will find a cmpg page on Facebook but it doesn't have much to do with the group of talented photographers who attended face-to-face meetings every couple of weeks since 2007 and mounted a dozen well received exhibitions here in town.
I'm currently wondering if there is enough support to reboot the CMPG and would be pleased to hear from both experienced photographers and those looking to develop their skills.  Please PM me here.

What's the point of displaying the photos? Do they get cash prizes?

Several years back I bought a new Nikon (brand loyalty - I'd had one stolen, dropped one, this one simply 'stopped for no obvious reason) when I was in KL, complete with a 'global warranty'.

Encountered problems while still under warranty when back home in Thailand, and was informed 'yes' under warranty but 'no' for any service or repair here in Thailand as had to be returned to country of purchase, Malaysia.

Guess that may have been mentioned in the very very small fine print, but rather defeats the purpose of a global warranty.

What is promised is usually different from what actually happens.

That's why personal feedback from the public is very important.

Thai companies are notorious for giving bad after-sales service.
