  1. What proof did you provide that you were infected with Covid?
  2. I doubt there are any Asian countries (except Japan who is an USA ally) who will ban Russia outside of European, North America and Australia.
  3. What do you mean by aroma'therapy tree? How much did you pay for it? I am thinking of buying a medium size tree that is easy to grow.
  4. Can anyone recommend a tailor in Chiang Mai that will do minor stitching on a pair of trousers for a reasonable price?
  5. That is sufficient. I showed the officer my Mor Prom vaccination cert on my handphone before getting into the immigration queue for stamping. There are two barriers, the first is the checking vax barrier which is done pretty fast before the normal immigration queue.
  6. They have changed the format. I remembered it was not like this a few years ago.
  7. I remember there is one column called 'other reasons' where we write the reason.
  8. It depends on what's their definition of resident. Some don't consider one year visa as resident, it could mean permanent resident.
  9. I don't know why merchants still want to use Paypal when the exchange rate is bad and with restrictions like this. Wouldn't it be better to just use Wise to do a money transfer?
  10. They did ask for 90 day reports, TM30, Tm6 sometimes during my previous extensions.
  11. Wait a min. I am confused, I thought the residence cert is to open a bank account and not a driving licence.
  12. The problem is that during application for extension, immigration will ask for copies of 90 day report, TM6 etc. If we reenter Thailand and apply for visa extension within 90 days of reentry , we have NO 90 day report to show since the last reentry into Thailand.
  13. I think 2 baht increase after 10 years is quite reasonable. The local stalls are charging me an increase of 10 baht (or more) for one plate of rice and dish. I used to pay 35 baht but now stalls are charging me 45 baht or 50 baht per plate.
  14. I went to the CM immigration at Central Festival today. It was just one big mess, there was no queue number like at the airport. Everybody was just crowding around that one table; asking questions and interrupting others at the same time. I thought things would be more systematic like the other government agencies.
  15. By the way, do we need to report to immigration after going out of Thailand and then reenter? How does this work anymore without TM6?
  16. I just came back to Thailand from a short trip, I was surprised to discover that I do not need to fill out any TM6 (white card) anymore. I thought they scrapped the TM6 only for Thai citizens?
  17. Which brands do you recommend? I read a report several years ago that some of the Italian brands were not giving genuine olive oil.
  18. I did talk with a Grab driver one day with my lower intermediate Thai. They actually don't earn much per trip. Petrol prices have gone up which make it difficult to make much profit. Blame it on the parties which caused the oil price to go up. At one time, nobody wanted to drive me to a spot in sansai bcos it's not worth it
  19. Sumalee seems to have the most votes here. Is she the one with office in a gym?
  20. Sorry but i don't recommend her based on my own experience. Not going to elaborate.
  21. Report to the police about the threat. Stay away from money-diggers, it's obvious she love your money and not you.
  22. What about depositing and withdrawing physical USD notes instead of transferring?
  23. Yes, you can hold Baht bank accounts for ed visa holders. Opening a US dollar bank account is not advisable because of the high fee for depositing and withdrawing US dollars in Thailand. Each US transaction is chargeable unlike Baht deposit/withdrawal.
  24. If they had a crash due to drugs, then it's a different matter. Not every tourist who goes to Malaysia drives. That would be like saying that you cannot take alcohol before going to Malaysia because there will be a crash afterwards. So does that mean that all flights which allow alcohol to be served should be tested for urine when they land? See how ridiculous this urine test is.
  25. They took the drug in Thailand and not Malaysia, how are they breaking Malaysian law? That's just like saying that a transgender dressed as a woman in Thailand which is legal but when she goes to Malaysia a day later, she changed back into man's clothing. Does that mean she/he should be charged in Malaysia just because she/he dressed as a woman in Thailand? It's the same logic.
