As far as I know the foreign father would not be allowed to take the children out of Thailand without written approval from the mother of the children. That alone should stop all possible bad scenarios.
No always the case. I traveled with my Thai daughter to Europe several times without her mother... She was 14, 16 and 17... No single question was asked by immigration or airline staff.

I changed my US address to Thai address with USAA about 14 years ago... Only once, during that time, they contacted me asking if my Thai address is still valid... Never had any issues.

I have Scrambler62 for over 3 years now... Great bike and handles very well. I put over 22000km on it without any issues. My schedule maintenance is with Ducati Buriram and their service is good but sometimes it takes a few days to get an appointment. You can't just show up there and expect to be serviced the same day...

Please let me know how this extension work out for you... I'm in exactly the same situation, single father of Thai child and I also use Kapchoeng for my extension. My current extension runs out on 25 June 2019.

They might be using ballast water in order to maintain desired "trim". Trim is the difference between forward and after draft of the ship. Having desired trim will increase ship's steerage while going up river... In other words, having desired trim, will make ship more maneuverable in the water...

Yes, I found it useful... While waiting for my new passport to arrive from my embassy, I lost my Thai driver's license for a car. When I went to driver license office to inquire about replacement they insisted on seeing my passport. I could not comply with this request because I mailed my passport to my embassy as a part of the renewal process. Instead I produced my Thai motorcycle license which was rejected right away... I was about to leave when I remembered having my pink ID card. My pink ID card was accepted on the spot and I was issued with new Thai Driving License.

Thank You everyone for your input. I received my re-entry permit yesterday in Kapchoeng... All completed in about 35 min.

My last Non-O visa expired on April 8 this year but my last 90 day stamp will allow me to stay here till June 25... I just found out that I have to go to Singapore for two days before the end of this month (May 2018) and I was wondering if I can still use Reentry Permit to return to Thailand. The reason that I want to keep the 90 day entry in tact is because I was planning to apply for one year extension based on being 50 years old.

OP is right. It is almost impossible to get a police clearance letter if you can't prove that you've been living in local area for some specified amount of time recently... I tried to get it a few years ago in Los Angeles area and one of the requirements was to show utility bills in my name for at least one year... You can request an FBI clearance letter or whatever it is called but it takes a while to get it.

What if seeking muliti entry Non O based upon being parent of a Thai national child ?
Does that equal marriage visa ?
I travel quite a bit, and therefore do not normally stay over the 30 days on entry I get, but I would like to make a proper visa now.
Just visited Savanakhet trying to obtain 1 year, non-immigrant, based on supporting a Thai child. I was told that I can only get a 90 day non-immigrant and in order to get one year I have to show a marriage certificate which I don't have. They were willing to give me 90 day visa just by showing a Thai birth certificate without any paperwork from Thai courts which I politely declined because I still have time left on my current non-immigrant visa.

USAA Credit Union is not charging for ATM usage and will reimburse you as well. To avoid Foreign Currency Conversion charges I use a Capital One Visa.

I did not see any good deals on cigars in BKK. I'll be flying thru SIN next week and I'll look for cigars.. Dubai has very good selection and prices if you happen to fly thru there.

My company requires that I have a physical exam every 5 years. The hard part is that is has to be a US licensed physician, physician's assistant or RN. Does anyone know if there are any US licensed doctors/PAs/RNs practicing in Thailand? I would prefer a doctor who is affiliated with a hospital or a large clinic in order to complete all lab work and other tests.

Some of the best diving I ever experienced was in Mual Bual (not sure of spelling) on Cebu. Lots of marine life including sharks. I did a deep dive - 140f, and a couple of night dives.. My second diving spot was Puerto Gallera on Mindoro. I haven't been to the Pholippines for quite a while so I have no idea if those two locations are still good.

I also brought several tools from the States along with a Radio Shack transformer. That seems to do the trick for battery chargers and my "Drill Doctor." I keep those tools locked up and tagged with a reminder, for myself, that they operate on different voltage. I once plugged the "Drill Doctor" in without the transformer but luckily I only burned the fuse... By the way, I also live in Surin area, Buached. Enjoy working with your tools.

I bought two different sets of solar lights about four years ago and brought them here from the States. Both were made in China, one plastic and the other aluminium made. The plastic one lasted about two months but the aluminium one works to this day. Originally I had both sets installed just couple of inches above the ground but this coused excessive moisture and insufficient exposure to sun for charging batteries. After raising them to about three feet above the ground I'm getting much better results. They use special 1.2V batteries that I replace every year. I plan to install new lights in my garden this year and will be looking for something different than solar.
