If you still have a valid address you can use in the U.K, some prefer to draw their pension there. At least you still get the increments which are so unfairly disallowed if you draw your pension overseas!

CyWhat is benefit theft? Everyone who commits benefit fraud is a benefit thief! Many people assume that benefit theft applies only to those who are working for 'cash in hand' whilst claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance. This is not the case. All benefit theft is crime.
Benefit theft includes deliberately not telling us:
- you are now living with a partner
- about any savings or not telling us the right amount
- children have left home
- you have started work, or about any earnings
- you have inherited money
- you are going abroad, living abroad, or have changed address.
There are no exceptions. People who knowingly withhold information or deliberately fail to report a change in their circumstances are benefit thieves. It is not ‘playing the game' – it is breaking the law!
You are responsible for keeping your claim up to date.
It’s not if we catch you, it’s when. And when we do, you could face a prison sentence.
WOW thats heavy talk man..me wonder who you work for..no need to check on me as I have five years to go

As an aside I had to attend an autopsy as part of my training many a year ago, most of us were not over enthusiastic about it but as there may have been chance of being appointed as a coroners officer it was part of the training.
The cadaver /corpse was the remains of someone who had been fished out of the Thames I think after some days in the water, the sight and the stench was dreadful, Indeed it was intended as our baptism of a drowning death and its aftermath and the process of a post mortem.
Our group was I think about 8 strong, of that 8 strong group 4 parted contact with the contents of their stomach and one fainted. However the highlight of the session was when the surgeon actually licked the finger of his left hand I couldn't stop laughing unlike the rest of the group who were in a dreadful state of health.
The surgeon then said " well P.c. +++++++ was plainly paying rapt attention to the proceedings as he saw that I licked a finger of my left hand which had not been near the cadaver unlike the rest of you who were not paying attention to the procedure.'' This was after he had me explain to all why I was laughing. I never had to re attend the process due to my observation but my unfortunate colleagues had 2 more P.M.s to attend before being released from that section of our training.
So you've just watched an autopsy of a corpse that's been in the Thames for a few days, haven't thrown up having paid rapt attention to the proceedings and still manage to laugh uproriously at a pretty feeble sick joke.
Don't you think that says something about you? I wouldn't want to have come across you when you were a plod.
what a silly reply..I had to do the same in 75 when i joined them days you had to get used to seeing a dead body.now they get paid extra (mailonline this week) the man is right we dealt with it made a report and then carried on with our beat..you stick with living in your world and let real ppl take care of you when you have a problem

From the replies to my OP it appears I left the some readers with the impression that I am angry, upset or somehow bothered by my GF/family's wanting to be at the deathbed of father who abandoned them in childhood. I have no personal feelings on the subject other than being surprised at their loyalty to a man who felt no obligation to them during his lifetime. He has money so that is not a consideration. From what was said by my GF and sisters, they have had no personal contact for 30 years and only a few phone calls during that time.
i did not think you was angry or upset i think most of us here have had problem this me included,iI have lived with two women in the UK who have had kids with english man but they got child benifits and the csa sorted the dads out no probs for me,my thai wife has two kids d 25 s 21 married now over two years they call me dad (not papa) hey suits me.my point being here it is the same as the UK but different.could be as you state he has money so maybe they want payback..that is the thai way

Talk about a friendly line-up. Sunglasses? Identical sunglasses? It looks as if they were given them prior to the photo op...after one of them claimed to be related to someone. You can almost hear the policeman on the left..."Do you like your sunglasses? Do they fit properly? Sorry they're not K pop quality but it's all the vendor outside had. Is there anything else we can get you?"
they would not have bought them..more likely confiscated them as knock offs from china..

So they hide out in a hotel that is on the same Soi - two blocks from the Chinese Embassy?
You'd think that they would want to be as far away as possible!
its called hiding in open sight..
