Do these people have ANY idea how tired we are of listening to all their "hopes" and "dreams" ? How about the PEOPLE's hopes & dreams? Did they ever hear the story of the little boy who cried "wolf"?
Just Vaccinate already!

Don't throw away the greens. Chop them coarsely and sauté with some butter or oil and garlic.

Exactly Colin.
There is a crossing I use here on the way to Makro. There are no barriers, only a flashing light. However, I ALWAYS stop, and look both ways before I drive over the lines. Regardless of the lights not flashing. I have even had cars behind toot the horn because I stop for three seconds !!!! They will never, ever learn.
Looking at that crossing on Google Street Maps (dated April 2013 - over 7 years ago) and comparing it to the footage today, since then it seems they have added Stop signs, crossing lights and speed bumps. So there should be no reason to ignore any or all of those.

RIP all, and if the driver survived he should be charged and jailed with proper police "finger pointing" photos. Maybe others will listen? Neh.

IMHO - Whenever someone says "TRUST ME", that's when my BS detector sounds.
How could the TAT think we will TRUST anything they say after all the FAILED and poorly thought out "press releases" they have spewed out?
Someone SERIOUSLY needs to step up to the helm and be sure the information is correct and well thought out. And that person needs to accept responsibility for his or her actions. No more mai pen rai!

My problem with the original article is that the Government seems to be giving no TRUE documented guidance to the governors. I see this as a problem as its very open to individual interpretation and enforcement.
IMHO - The government MUST provide very STRICT cohesive guidance to the governors and public. This MUST include frequent public service announcements on ALL forms of media, followed by NO TOLERANCE enforcement for both foreigners AND Thais. This must be done immediately by some one "at the top" with BALLS - not something that will languish in committee for days or weeks.
Communicate folks - PLEASE!

But they quarantine cruise ship passengers if one person becomes positive
Exactly! And once they let them out of the airport, how many more people will the infected further infect on their way to their desinations? Dumasses.
I'm beginning to think that this Government is actually a virus. (OH, can I say that?)
-
Why wouldn't all the passengers be quarantined by the authorities? Kind of blows my mind that they are "trusting" that people on those flights will actually self-quarantine. Sigh.

How is it possible to verify an overseas medical certificate at the airport given time differences and language problems? I wonder whether, if I were to start up a business called Shifty Frog Medical Services and start issuing such certificates, anyone in immigration would raise an eyebrow. Perhaps I could also start up Shifty Frog Assurances to provide Covid-19 insurance certificates for good measure.
May I be your first investor?

No-one has any sympathy at all for the Thai authorities. In fact most people think they deserve everything they get. The Thai authorities probably don't know how despised they really are.
Seriously - Does anyone KNOW if Thai authorities actually read this forum? And do they understand our frequent sarcasm? Curious.

If Thai Police are even remotely interested in "full disclosure" - I want to see videos of the interrogation. That might be telling.
(Yeah, right!)

The media claimed to have confronted officials in Nakorn Ratchasima about it only to be told that it was impossible to stop DUI - so they were just appealing for drunks to drive slowly at New Year.

I'm an amateur pilot and don't know much about BASE jumping or skydiving, but the article says the chute failed to open. Yet from the photos, it appears that it DID open and thus deployed, leaving me to think that he simply failed to "catch" the air he hoped for in only 29 floors. Who knows, the air currents may have conspired against him this day. Too bad.
RIP Dear Sir!
