  2. Well, I just set up a network at the office and at my house...and its pretty helpful when you want to work at home...

However, you need a broadband router to support multiple operation modes including: Access Point (AP) mode to create a wireless connection; Router mode to share an Internet connection; and Wireless Client mode to connect an existing wireless network. (the most popular brands are linksys or d-links )

The router is used to share a single broadband Internet connection, such as in a hotel room and they will automatically sets IP addresses for everyone in the room can connect to the Internet.

For a desktop you can use the wireless system by installing the receiever with either the wireless LAN card or wireless Lan USB at the PC and then everything will be connected.

  3. jayenram- she carry your wallet like mine does?  :o

No. That's going a bit too far! :D

If a girl marries with a farrang because she wants to have a better life, I can't blame her, if I fulfill a need for her and she does the same for me. That is what realtionships are based on, a common direction and common needs of the two indviduals involved. Granted at first it might be about hormones, but if it is to last there has to be a desire on both parties part to make the other person as happy as possible.

Thai and farrang alike don't recognize that when they see a Thai and farrang together.

I at times feel for my wife, as to me I could care less what people think, I know what I have.

    True ... Strongly agree

  4. Wildcard there are many members here that have lived in thailand with their wives very happly for a long time, but there are also those that have'nt if you open any topic here about Thai women you wil get some flak.

Its a large forum with members from all walks of life and unfortunatly the "gold digger" Thai lady does exist and as you can imagine those who have been unfortunate enough to have been in that type of relationship are fairly bitter about it. While those who have'nt are pretty smug

yea.. right.. I believe so too ka..but first to begin with ... If we do not want to meet those who are looking for financial supporters, we will not get exposed to them. I do not believe that most guys do not know the traits of that kind of women...but the fact that love ceases the common senses in people so, it is agreeable that it happens not only in Thailand and with only Thai women but unfortunately there are plenty of poor girls living in this country and they are just so pretty .. yes ?

  5. Why do you want to know? You joined today and one of the first things out of your mouth is about thai bg. Try search and do some reading.

Thank you for your advice but I believe I have lived in Thailand for all of my life and I know pretty well about what it is like being a Thai girl dating a Foreigner here in Thailand ......

The first thing that came right out of my brain is not about Thai Bar Girl but rather why most foreigners tend to distrust Thai girls when you all have learnt and found out that it is not Typical Thai Girl's characteristics to be "a Gold Digger"

When I go out with my B/f .. I am also viewed as A bar girl and it is pretty annoying though.... But I could not care less..... Since I happen to have tan skin ??

    Dah.. ?!

But the worst thing is ... not only Thai people think I am a whore walking with a Farang guy but also other Farang guys themselves treated me like one ..... while I was with my B/f ...... So, it is not very funny .....

  6. Well, that is definitely not what the mainstrem buddhists do ... I can gaurantee you ..... But it does exist ..... it is called universal healing power ..... or sth like that

Thai people usually get hold of religion when something bad happens but some

just misuse it ... I believe it works for some people since it is like a psychological healing.....

  7. 1. All of a sudden my speakers are playing the internet tune AFTER connection. It has never happened before and has come out of the blue. I have searched HELP and come up with a slider for modem volume but I didn't alter it because I think that is something else. Meanwhile I have checked mute in volume, but soon I will want to listen to radio...Help!

    2. On XP home, it sometimes says, when I close all windows in a box...disconnect now? Yes or No? I never do. I want to stop this? Any advice?

    3. Windows Messenger? Never used it but it is on my toolbar, I logged in with my email address, but nobody seems interested. Whats the idea? Is it just for webcam people? Is it any good? Am I missing out on something? Is it just for hotmail account holders?

    Cheers.

    W.S.

    Umm.. I

  8. Hi all

I am in the UK, I have windows 2000 and I would like to be able to write Thai script and English on the same document ? Is there a download I can do ?

Also gf is Thai, can I install complete Thai software onto a laptop for her so that she can send emails and write letters ?

    Thank you for any assistance.

    Regards

    Clive Sorts

For Window 2000 you have to download the thai script from Microsoft

    search for "Global IME"

  9. lol Well.... teacher.... On behalf of all Thai students .... I think it is quite impossible to teach them all to speak english properly but I am quite sure that they will manage to catch up with everyday used english instead.

Maybe it is broken english but somehow it is helpful for them to be exposed to the native speaker like you.

I am a Thai student who happens to be in an international programme but I was in Thai schools before. Thai kids are used to learning grammers and all the writing process but not the speaking part because most of them have something like " farang phobia" lol and afraid to speak up ...even in university... all classes are more like lecture class .... no need for much participation in discussing things over.

  10. Does any one know when the PO opens again in BKK please, got a late birthday present to send and not sure when they open again after Songkran

    Fourbaht
