  1. Hi, I had a very nice 2 piece suit made in November last year at "Romeo Boutique & Tailors" Poon Suk Road Hua Hin, ( Take Soi 59 off of Petkasem Road, the Soi that goes behind the H H Police station), when you get to the T junction with Poon Suk Rd glance right and you will see the shop almost in front of you. Nice guy, a very good price (4500thb for my suit, worn several times since).  click on the Google map link below for the address etc. Kind Regards

  2. Hi,

Here at Prachuap I.O, the rules are 12 x 65,000thb. On arrival at the office for renewal of extension, you have to submit a recently updated bank book, a  1-year bank statement,  (showing 12 monthly incoming credits of 65,000thb or more), and a payment advice note showing that the payments have been internationally received and also the relevant forms and photos. With Bangkok  Bank, you have to give 7 days' notice for these documents, but I believe other Thai banks will do them quicker. I am also sure other I.O's and offices have different rules, but this seems the norm here for over 3 years.

  3. I received an email yesterday asking for extra details, supposedly from "THAILAND PASS", but as I have not recently applied for a PASS I believe this is a scam or yet another leak from the system for someone to get my email address. SO BEWARE and do not reply.

    • Th system noticed some problems in the documents you submitted to the embassy
    • You should correct some information so that you are not held responsible by the government
    • Please reply to this message and write the following information

    1.

      1. Your full name.
      2. Date of birth.
      3. Last 4 digits of the passport.

    1.

    •     We apologize for any inconvenience caused
    •      Thailand Pass
  4.

How much can I transfer? You can send up to 800,000 THB per day. Customers can only send 690,000 THB per month via the DeeMoney Mobile application, but there is no limit if sending via any of our DeeMoney branches. DeeMoney is licensed under the

“International Money Remittance Service Non-Bank License (MT125590013)” and
“Money Exchange and E-Payment Licenses (MC125590070)” by the Bank of Thailand, issued in 2017.

I use to send money to my UK bank each month for 2.5 years , never had a problem, quickest was same day and longest was 4 days due to a bank holiday.

  6. So what happened to all the millions of doses of Astra Zeneca vaccine that were going to be produced at Siam Bioscience under license from A.Z. An email to the communications manager Pucharapan Holim at S.B, guess what, no reply. ????????????

"AstraZeneca, together with Siam Bioscience, has been working tirelessly to ensure that the facility is on track to deliver supply to Thailand and Southeast Asia in June.
Siam Bioscience is the only facility that is dedicated to enable access for Southeast Asia.

Bangkok, 28 April 2021 – AstraZeneca’s plans to produce its COVID-19 Vaccine in Thailand has made significant progress and the first batch of the vaccine will be ready for delivery to the Thailand Government in June of this year."

Just 5 days left of June, is everybody holding their breath

    Thanks

I have recently bought a secondhand vehicle from a BKK dealer @ 300,000 thb. with a part exchange of 80,000 thb (so Nett 220,000) and the DLV fees were 2,400 thb including change of ownership, postage etc, but on top I needed 3 proof of address letters from immigration @ 500 thb each (2 for selling and 1 for buying) hope this helps. Regards.

  8. "Expats in Hua Hin aged over 60 who have registered to receive the vaccine have been given vaccination appointments starting in the first week of July".

That is another lie, as posted yesterday, I went through all the registration procedures on Wednesday, to be told "VACCINE RUN OUT" last night I get a message on Line in Thai, I ask several English speaking locals and they cannot understand the message, so I went to Hua Hin hospital this morning and after showing the message to many people who just looked and shrugged, I got someone who said "it is an automated message" and you should not have received it??? I asked when, as a 75 year old will I get the vaccine, told " come back next month, maybe we get some more vaccine by then? "NOT GIVEN APPOINTMENT FOR JULY" Oh well another debacle. TIT.

That's of course misleading, because undertaking is allowed if there is more than one lane.

It's only not allowed if it's a one lane road. (If the vehicle in front is signaling to do a right turn and it's possible to pass without driving over the hard should it's also allowed)

You need to go and watch the video at the driving license centre, "all overtaking on the left is illegal" single, duel or otherwise here in Thailand and you should legally stop and wait until the person turning right has completed their maneuver, not pass on the hard shoulder, I know we all do it, but it is illegal. but of course no police enforcement ever here in LOS.

  10. So all about money again, lets order and buy submarines, armored personnel carriers, strike helicopters, maintain a totally useless aircraft carrier, spent fortunes on face-lifting military establishments, etc, etc, etc, but not pay a small premium on the COVAX program, which would guarantee prices delivery dates and save millions of Baht in hospital treatment for the infected population. Only last week "I Know Nuthin" (Anutin)  was spewing garbage about this thousand, that thousand vaccines being delivered and the vaccine program starting from 14th February ????????. Now it emerges that they have not even ordered the vaccine ??? Waiting for Siam Bioscience to start producing cheaper locally. Although I am a supporter of the way they locked Thailand down early, to suppress to spread of the virus, (like many other Asian countries), it beggars belief, at the way this shamble of so called experts are just lying to each other and the general public each and every day. So the vaccine roll out is now planned for June, please don't hold your breath, as you will not be around to receive it.

  11.  Another rambling from some dilusional dreamer, so what disposable income are these 5-7 million tourists going to use as spending money after most of them have been on low pay or no pay for over the last 3+ months, morgages, rents, banks, credit card repayments and catching up with utilities will take far more importance than holidays to far of places. If most people take holidays in the next 1-2 years, my guess they will stay at domestic resorts in their own countries. Just saying.

Can you see the request for credits listed? Log in/My Account/My Cases? If so the credits on the way if not you might want to file again.

    Good luck

Hi. Unfortunately because I used a travel agent and 'they' instigated the refund/credit note/voucher request, I cannot log into your suggested links using 'my' email address and PNR. The agent is based in HK and now saying 90 working days, so not sure if it is a scam by the agent or Air Asia using delaying tactics, oh well tomorrows another day. Just thought I would ask?

I had 5 flights booked for April around Borneo and 23/03 filed for credit - no refund option - using the online AVA function. To date I have 4 flights fully credited but no sign of the 5th yet. Credit is good for one year.

Well done, I have been taken round in circles because I  booked with an agent not direct, contact the agent and told all Co19 claims have to be made direct to Air Asia which I did via the "BOT" on 11th March. told now by agent to wait the 16 weeks and recontact the airline.  Regards.

  14. Has anyone else on here, had the despicable treatment that Air Asia are dealing out to customers, that have had their "paid for" flights/tickets cancelled due to Co19, no phone number, just an automated "BOT" that takes you round and round in circles. I have now received a message saying that they have now moved the goal posts from 30 working days to 90 working days (best part of 4 months) just to "review" claims, let alone get the refund. Regards and "Keep Safe'

I know its inconvenient but they should, and looks like they will, follow Vietnam's model of quarantine 14 days in state hotel (Vietnam has no deaths).

Vietnam moved  very quickly, I was supposed to go to the new F1 meeting in Hanoi 3-5th April but by the 11th march all UK passport holders were denied entry visas and even my long term one was cancelled. I must say that that the Hotels, Taxi transfer etc; refunded my money within a few days, but the despicable "AIR ASIA" are still not responding to my refund requests (no phone number, just a BOT that takes you round and round in circles), I eventually got an automated reply saying "claim from your travel agent", contacted the agent and they said "claims have to be directed to Air Asia for Co19 claims". They are now telling me Air Asia have once again moved the goal posts from 30 working days to 90 working days to review claims, (best part of 4 months), no idea how long to actually get the refund obviously going the same way as "Thai Air" down the tubes.
