I wish that the Thai Government was as committed to road safety as they claim to be committed to "maintaining a safe, clean and healthy atmosphere for all".

Is there a country anywhere in the world where a police account would match the video evidence?

I'll always have fond memories of my many trips in 747's. For some reason I always felt safer in those than I do in more modern aircraft. Farewell to a great aircraft.

No suicide verdict in as yet?
It's not a foregone conclusion. The verdict is also often "heart attack". Suicide is an all too frequent verdict when a fall from height is involved, although wasn't that also the Thai verdict in the David Carradine case?
RIP.

Anyone thinking it's going to drop off would probably not visit Pattaya! ????????????

Despite the heat I'd go for FF for safety - a FF saved my face once, and that was from travelling at only around 20kph, and I'd choose white as that should absorb less heat from the sun than darker shades.

RIP. Mix motorcycles, alcohol & Thailand and the outcome can be poor.

Mr. Coker was unexpectedly released on his own recognizance and taken to an undisclosed location near an airport when it was disclosed that he is the grandson of the founder of Coca Cola.
Or Coker Cola?

They do x-ray your luggage at Swampy. I was stopped once by customs and the knew what was in my bag before I opened it. In my case I was lucky & there was nothing to pay. They had thought that I was carrying car parts which are taxable, but I was carrying motorcycle parts which apparently are not taxable. I guess these looked similar on the x-ray.

Isn't this a re-run of last year's story? And the year before's, and the year before's, and the year before's, etc. Such good news though, and we can all sleep soundly in our beds without any illegal prostitutes to keep us up all night....

Perhaps re-inboatnation in this case? Even if salvaged, I can't see HTMS 442 Sukhothai ever being a popular posting if returned to service!

That exit fee still exists. It is now incorporated into the cost of the ticket. So Thailand gets you on the way in and on the way out. Plus everything else in between!

Firstly, really good report Spambot & many thanks for that. In the past I have successfully crossed Thailand-Cambodia-Thailand same day at Poipet. No questions asked or other hassles from the Thai or Khmer IO's, as I recall the queues were the biggest problem. I have certainly not heard of the B300 scam to let you go back same day, but I guess the Khmer IO's are losing tea money of B100 per tourist because of people buying online visas (they would always add B100 to the visa fee) and
needwant to make it up somehow. That said, my last same day out-in was a few years back, so I guess things have changed and I shall not try that again.- 1

The writer of "Spare" doesn't seem to understand, Harry has not got the "booby prize", he has hit the jackpot. Being monarch in the UK is just a chore. The Monarch has to commit all his/her time but has no power. Harry on the other hand has the title, has the prestige, the money & the lifestyle and only a very small risk of having to become monarch. What's not to like? The book shows that the writer does not understand the UK Monarchy. Harry should certainly understand it, so that suggests someone else really wrote the book. I wonder who?
