  1. Simple. Friends or perhaps owners in high places. And I'm sure that you already knew that
  2. Or get a photo of the thief holding (not wearing) the helmet, most usably with his bike rego plate in the photo.
  3. All agreed but I have been waiting months for that. So obvious ( but so convenient to wear with a separate filter pad inside) Sigh!!!! Alibaba adverts always seem to say "not appropriate for viral protection," or something like that.
  4. But arguably, still wet behind the ears (Immature, inexperienced, and naïve) Collins Dictionary!
  5. Saying Facebook is particularly weak is very very polite way of describing that organizations principles' appalling attitude
  6. I did it for years but about 2 or 3 years a study was done (in Australia, I think) that said it introduces as many or more risks of different types than it protects against. I believe there was more than one study in different places. I would still take on before flying but have stopped my daily 80gm a day. If I die early from a heart attack I will re-post from my new home.
  7. With the very greatest respect, please consider all the points including the the Covid 19 situation, your access to long term, health care costs/insurance and the unstable geo-political situation in East Asia before moving back to Thailand. Specifically as regards selling up in Australia. With the property prices as crazy as they are, if your circumstances changed and you had to move back home you might find yo cannot buy back into the property market. I moved to Thailand 7.5 years ago and kept my house in Auckland. After 5 .5 years I decided our circumstances required moving back to NZ and as house prices had doubled I had somewhere to go back to as I rented out my house for the 5 years and went back to a much better life than I left. If I had not kept the house, I would be in a terrible situation now. I do not know your financial circumstances and I understand everyone's situation is personal to them, but be careful and recognise that selling up in Aus before moving to LOS could well prevent you from returning home. I was 65 when we moved to LOS and 71 when we moved home to N.Z. I am so glad I did not sell up but kept my options open which enabled us both to move home. My Thai wife is very grateful to be back here again too for many reasons. There a lot of piople trapped in LOS by making the wrong decision to sell up everything, back home.
  8. The truth or falsehood of the land transaction should be relatively easy to prove one way or another. Exactly where the money was at the time as another question. Not to mention, why would anyone break into a house with a gun, and with 300,000 baht in their pockets. Kind of hard to believe.
  9. What problem? If there is one it's only temporary and self solving. Darwin's theory/award at work. (Sorry. I don't really think that but it is tempting.... )
  10. So all the kids who never had any passport would then be exempt if possession of a Thai Passport was necessary for the draft???????????????
  11. What's the story about having an old bag at home?
  12. When you tell people you're 43 but with 30 years experience. Oh and the moisturiser thing too. see post about 20 above.......
  13. Based on 5 .5 years full time experience, may I suggestbtgat the first sentence should have finished just before "and." It is just so easy for normal simple things to get completely out of hand in LOS. Glad to be back living somewhere that speaking in general terms, only the weather is beyond prediction.
  14. No problem if you are wearing the right amulet or gave enough to someone in the right temple who promised immunity.
  15. If theory was extracted as a fine pr a fee for government services then it might well be seen as theft as a servant which is a serious crime in most civilized countries! That's almost saying enough, because of course, TIT!!!!!!! and of course no Thai policeman is likely to ever be found guiltily of that or anything else, including probably, MURDER!!
  16. Quite a ruckus between them, you say? Cats can sound exactly like that when they are mating!!!!!!! If your female is not already spayed, the cat might be out of the bag already, to coin a phrase.
  17. Exactly my opinion. At3 yearsI was still mostly in love. By 5 years Thai wife and I were planning to return to my birth country. BeatCovid by 6-8 months. We are both better off here. LOS was fun while it lasted.
