I have a very similar issue with my step daughter in Thailand , yes she is very reluctant to converse with me in English and she does prefer to speak in "laos" with family and friends when we are in there . Doesn't seem to be a problem when not in the earshot of Thai family though , I am sure this is just a respect thing.

Just a short piece of info , if you are contemplating your wife buying land , home etc in the future in LOS be concerned about the surname change ,you can run into difficulties
-

Thanks if you can point me somewhere ,, Goomps

Got me a new destination in mind ! got that Ban Kruk feeling right now , sorry to digress and I know that condoms are cheaper-less expensive in LOS

I would think that your plants have tomatoe blight , lets see if this gets a post
-
I am sure that we just fear the inevitable , cant converse awkwardly , don't converse at all , everybody happy !
-
kjun12 tomatoes are very fickle and can develop fungus easy , the soil has to be a decent ph level and inspection of soil as to too much organics etc , you cannot plant tomatoes after certain other plants , in the same bed as before where they were growing , as David48 suggests have a look on the farming forum, good luck to you.

There is a product I have used in Aus for this called Bondcrete not sure can get this in LOS , I frequently use a product from Dulux called Acrabond , I use this in the application of render finish and it does provide some waterproofing capabilities as well , Maybe a good idea is to etch the surface prior with a hydrochloric solution to achieve a clinical clean environment as well.

Really depends on the amount of overlay you require to finish the work intended , there are a few alternatives for this , depends if you are going straight on top or going out to the sides as well

Wow ! bit of the tangent , if not amusing in the least

Very easy and quick to do internet banking , the best choice I have found from home country to thai account , sure some fees to send via the net but a TT will give you a higher exchange and same day if not within a few hours .
Just find it quicker for me at the ATM , that's all.

For those of us whom been carried away into self opinion on the wright and wrongs do's and dont's just remember this guy has a travelling partner good luck I say , find your enjoyment Neo.

Lmfao , you guys rock !

Normally I am in holiday mode when I go to LOS but I am soon to be living there , I can withdraw money at the ATM in amount to the limit of 20,000 and only cost 20 or 30bht , can do in multiples up to 100k but I am not sure I can change the amount criteria at the bank
Sure have to pay for every transaction but.. not that much I consider. $5 for 100,000bht , it is ok by me , and I don't feel over-apprehensive at the ATM on soi 6 any time of day or night , just be alert

Hey sezzo
not sure if I can be of any benefit because it has been a long time and many drinks ago
I had found back in 2007 that it was quicker to apply for a NOIM than to have married in Thailand or to have applied for a spouse visa in Aus
Sorry if I am little help

I do agree with you all , not a lot of coin , maybe he missed out a '0' in the post.
