My wife has a Non-O dependent visa. Is it possible for her to work in Thailand and apply for a work permit? I've read somewhere that it is allowed to work if you have a Non-O, as long as you apply for a work permit but not sure if that covers all types of Non-O.

I bought a $289 phone from China. Sent by Kerry. Was never charged any taxes. Also other stuff that i usually buy never get taxed or penalties. OP was indeed ripped off big time.

Try this site. This guy buys Xiaomi stuff directly from China and his prices are ok. I bought my Xiaomi Mi Pad from him. One thing though his website is in Thai. But he did provide his mobile number and Line ID which you can also contact him on.

Parking is abominable!
Agreed. Finding a parking space is near to impossible. I had a day trip to Khon Kaen and wanted to park my car there for the day but it was full and i had to park my car nearby the cargo building which was a very very long walk
That is very unusual for Khon Kaen I fly out of there very offten with no problem parking in the multi car park.
I meant Parking at Don Muang. My day trip was from DMK to KKC. I parked my car at Don Muang

The stamp below means you are banned from Entering Malaysia for the specified period. Would be interesting to know why you deported and banned.

If you're into diving i suggest to go to Sipadan Island in Borneo, Malaysia. Diving Heaven.
Candi Borobudur in Yogyakarta is a must see in my opinion. One of the ancient relics of history.

I personally like to go Raintree Spa and Massage http://www.raintreespa.net/ . They have a few branches but usually i would go to the one on Sukhumvit Soi 11. Prices are decent. Many packages to choose from.

You haven't really tasted Durian until you try the Malaysian durian. 10x the smell. 10x the taste. You can smell it from a mile away. There was even an incident down under in Australia where some Malaysians brought in Durian to a building and the Building management requested people to evacuate suspecting a gas leak.

Suprisingly Philippines is not even included in the EF English Proficiency index (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EF_English_Proficiency_Index). Probably because they are considered native speakers. This index is only for non-native english speaking country. Thailand ranked 55.

No.
Reporting is for staying 90 consecutive days in Thailand
Thanks for the swift reply.

I have 2 year work permit with a 2 years extension on my Non-B visa as according to the length of the work permit. My HR department recently gave a reminder to do the 90 days reporting. My question is do i still need to do the 90 days reporting if i travel back to my home country every month.

There's a real possibility your company submitted a favorable medical report for you and you didn't even need to show up at the Doc's office.
Ponder that one.
Ahah...never thought bout that.....just maybe....
-
Careful, you may have a long work permit, but your extension of stay may be only 1 year, do check.
Not used the 1 stop, but medical has been needed for all my WP applications
My extension of stay (Re-entry permit) is same as my work permit. 2 years.
It was not needed for me either.
I have as well received a 2 year work permit and extension of stay. Apparently the length has something to do with the company being under BOI. At least this was the information I have been given as an explanation.
Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
That was the same explanation i got. It does have something to do with the company being under BOI and also your nationality will somehow play a role.
It actually only took me 2 hours from signing the documents to getting my work permit (little blue book) and extension of stay.
I guess there are some government agencies in Thailand who are still efficient.

I received a 2 year work permit from the Ministry of labour back in September 2013. I was also given a multiple re-entry visa with respect to the length of work permit. All this was done at the One stop center in Chamchuri square. My company handled all the work permit application process but just wondering i did not do any medical checkup nor did i submit any medical certificate together with the application. I have read somewhere that is compulsory to submit a medical cert which has all the details(blood type, Blood test result, etc etc.). Makes me wonder now is there a way all the processes or documentation be bypassed.
I was also lucky to get a 2 year work permit. How do they really determine length of the work permit to give?
Can a Non-O dependent Visa apply for a work permit?
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

Thanks @ubonjoe
That's what i thought too. Just wanted confirmation. So i suppose if she wants to work then she would still need to apply for a Non-B and come back to Thailand and apply for work permit, visa extension, etc....
