?? erm... thats a very odd post.

No one has attacked you - advice has been offered to be sceptical of information from someone who uses ‘hyperbolic language’ - Embassies do not hold passports hostage !!! the idea is preposterous, as is the suggestion that I might work in an Embassy - thats just very strange.

I think it is very strange to hold passport in embassy weeks and not tell reason for it. Dont think it happens in any other countries embassies.

How long before your flight did you got your passport with visa back?

Basically no since the test and fit to fly is only needed to board the flight.

There may be some odd embassies that don't do it like others. I have not heard of them holding a passport or COE until the test is done.

    Ok, thanks @ubonjoe

Why the attack, you perhaps work in the embassy?

What else would you call it if his visa and coe are ready and they keep passport until couple days before flight? Why not give it to him already if they not need to see the covid test?!

  3. Hi Joe, so what you are saying that embassy need to see covid test done 72hrs before they release your passport and visa from embassy? Im asking for a friend and embassy in europe.

Thing is he send passport to embassy 2-3 weeks before flight to Thailand and embassy say visa is ready and coe but they dont give passport back to him until 2-5 days before travel date. Is this normal? Could it be because they need see covid test done 72hrs before flight?

  4. You cannot apply for another visa while in the country.
You could apply for a one year extension of stay based upon marriage during the last 30 days of any of the 90 day entries from the visa at your local immigration office.. You would need 400k baht in a Thai bank for 2 months or proof of 40k baht income.

Why have 400k baht in bank account when after you use the first non o visa ( almost 17months ) just apply new one!? Is there any limit how many times can apply the same non o visa?

  5. My advice get the focus and not look back. Top model for under 600k.

First, why would someone shopping for an SUV want a Focus?

Second, the top model Focus is 1,070,000 Baht.

Third, have you ever read any of the Ford related threads here?

you did not read this? whistling.gif

At this stage I have essentially decided to cancel the order. I'll also be taking a long holiday in a month or so, and I don't want the car arriving while I am gone (or just before, for that matter). I don't fancy parking my brand new vehicle in the condo garage for nearly two months immediately after delivery. So, I have been looking at alternatives with my must-have features (6 airbags, leather seats, reasonable city size) and am thinking about nearly-new vehicles like the MY2013 Ford Focus Titanium+, which can be had for about 60% of the price of the HRV-EL thanks to very rapid depreciation of Fords. Doesn't have everything I want, but would suit my needs for running around the city a few times a month when BTS is not convenient. Currently have an Accord rental, which is nice to drive but a pain to maneuver and park here in central BKK.

2nd hand 13-14 model focus can get for under 600k.

"have you ever read any of the Ford related threads here?" Yes. laugh.pngcoffee1.gif

  6. I bought a Brio (hatch) for my wife and it's great. Park anywhere (almost), fuel efficient, and has everything you would want from a small city car.

The AC does the job of keeping the windows mist free, it's not a problem sir.

    Good luck

Ok,thx for the reply sir. smile.png I have seen many other cars too without the window setting in Thailand. I quess lack of window vent is only a problem in colder climate countries.

  7. Have you ever tested for asthma? maybe you not get enough oxygen and you feel light pain and numbness in muscles. Could be some kind of allergy too. I take aerius 5mg once a day for allergy when needed, works well and not make tired.
