People going back into the UK need to quarantine too now. And unlike last year when it was a bit of a joke, this year there are follow up calls, checks, etc, and fines for not complying.  So that's 2 weeks to a month of restrictions surrounding the holiday at either end.  I can tell you as someone currently doing a 15 day quarantine stretch -I wouldn't go through this expensive <deleted> again even if you reversed the cost and paid it to me, never mind having to pay for the ordeal myself. Just not worth the hassle.

 

IMHO the insane or ignorant are the ones NOT  cancelling their holidays.

I spoke yesterday to a woman who arrived in February as she was on furlough in uk from her air hostess job , she was returning last night to the uk . She had to fill out passenger locator form for uk , negative PCR test before flying and was due to do 10 days home quarantine. But ! She said she paid £180 for a test upon return and with that she only needs do 5 days home quarantine ???????? 

So covid can not only tell the difference between oj and beer , tell the time to get you should you be out after set times , but also can tell if you have coughed up £180 so not bother you after 5 days ! ????

As for ASQ I didn’t mind it at all , time flew by and I had a great sleep every night ????????

I watched him giving a press conference the other day and have to say it was utterly shameful and disgusting.

From what the wife told me she says he is getting blamed for the kids death as the family had a fall out over land . Then in a search this guy seemingly was the one to find the child’s body despite it basically being hidden in a hole covered in rocks etc and then broke down in front of the cameras etc and was also seemingly told not to touch the body when he found it but he didn’t listen and picked it up . My thoughts were the chances of him being the one to find it out of all the people looking would be extremely slim and if someone wanted to eliminate any reason of dna being on a body and to explain how their dna was on it then what better way than to pick it up . 
As for the press conference it showed the guy , his wife ,some top cop who is in with the government and some high profile lawyer who is well known for getting shady people acquitted in court. It started with the cop giving a wai to the suspect and almost crawling over to him to be presented with some plaque or something and then a few laughs . Then the suspect wrapped one of the cloth waistbands you see local headmen wearing in certain areas around the cops waist again while more laughing and joking . All while the lawyer was pointing at the press and mouthing off as if to say how can you blame this amazing guy !

A child is dead and this lot are laughing and joking as if it is nothing and as if they were all higher in status than anyone in the room . The guys wife didn’t look very comfortable about it all and he was shuffling non stop like a cat on a hot tin roof . Their masks certainly hid any form of shame they might have .
If cleared off this case I can see him being attacked when in public somewhere as it stinks of money talks .

I can hear the fake labs being set up as I write .
They will suddenly have millions available they bought somewhere and basically they will be vials full of nothing more than water,  but the selling samples submitted for government test before purchase will be real .

If you remember the bomb detectors they bought then this is a certainty ! ????

Flying is more rigorous, for example to samui need tests. But not when driving

So if you arrive by car in samui do you need to go into quarantine ? 
I am returning to my home there at end of the month from up north and plan on driving there with my wife. If so then how are we supposed to get groceries etc if we are to arrive and quarantine ????
