  1. Obviously tourism will increase owing cancellation of entry conditions but more could be done such as extending visa exemption to 60 days and making it easier to get short term visas. Regarding devaluation of Baht this in actual fact has occured against all major currencies and not a bad thing as will stimulate tourism and exports inflationary pressures will continue owing high cost of oil.
  2. How about some relaxation visa exemption up to 60 days instead of this meaninless propaganda.
  3. The fact is we are going to be living with Covid indefinitely I would not be surprised if Covid infections presently on Thailand were more than a million.
  4. So cannot be sure what entry restrictions will be in place for the coming high season. RIP tourism
  5. If the economy in such good shape why is it reported BOT has negotiated a large loan from Japan. The sooner Thailand Pass cancelled it should become more clear how many tourists will be attracted to Thailand but do not expect anything like prepandemic levels.
  6. Duel pricing in Thailand applies to many things not only national parks. You have to accept that a foreigner whether living in Thailand or a tourist will always be a foreigner no matter what and be charged accordingly even after you die.
  7. Probably you will have to pay a surcharge when checking in at the Airpirt. Good luck hope Thai Airways still operating by then.
  8. Let's hope Thailand Pass cancelled soon as same as requrung a visa which deters many perspective tourists hence the visa exemption scheme. If not good luck Thailand so far as Tourism is concerned.
  9. She got caught and paid a small fine. Just goes to show the so called well heeled tourists do nothing for the Thai economy.
  10. Good news for countries competing for tourists. Bad news for Thai Tourist industry probably lost next high season that is why TAT now giving tourism forecast for 2024.
  11. What a surprise. Unfortunately death bell for next high season. Tourism industry RIP
  12. Change of Government policy keep entry restrictions and allow in back packers to attend the full moon party whilst the few high spending quality tourists and family tourists avoid Thailand for other countries
  13. How many if these arrivals are guests of TAT or Russian refugees Suggest stop all this nonsense reporting and concentrate on lifting remaining entry conditions.
  14. Needs to seek advice from WHO says nothing for Thailand's standing in the world. Probably Thai Airlines will be the only ones to compel their passengers to wear face masks .
  15. Have to consult Thai Olegards first but doubt if Thailand would be an attractive proposition to F1 management.
  16. Oh dear would be very wise to stay neural and shut up. Presume he is purchasing Russian Oil at knock down prices.
  17. There is no reason in maintaining the Thai Pass except this would also mean no reason to maintain the state of emergency and CCSA. Personally for purely selfish reasons would like both to be maintained as will drastically reduce number of tourist entering the country keeping accomodation and related tourist businesses prices low but this is not in the best interests of the tourism industry
  18. So many local holidays are a drain on the Thai economy. Local tourism does not bring into the country much needed foreign currencies nor do they pay same prices as foreigners owing duel pricing system.
  19. Thailand Pass needs to be completely cancelled as well as any other entry restrictions especially as owing war in Europe and inflationary pressures including near 100% increase in air fares far fewer Europeans have the desire or money to travel long haul plus no Chinese or Russians this year.
  20. If Thai Pass is not cancelled immediately there is a risk that the next high season will be lost whatever happens tourists will be in much lesser numbers than prepandenic owing war in Ukraine, Chinese Covid restrictions and increased inflation including vastly increased air fares.
