Your second choice. That is the easiest but from experience you need to be going through the Samut Songkram and Samut Sakon around 10 am if possible then up on to the Bang Na /Chonburi expressway. This is to beat the traffic best as possible.

Stay well away from Nakon Pathom as this will be a bad route as I found out.

Rent DO NOT buy until you have had a good chance to see what it is like. Best thing is not to be close to the family. Further away the better or you will be the sole provider for a lot of the family.

I do mine through Westpac. Cost $20 for what ever amount. Best to stay under the $10 000 mark and it is good. Send and receive in AUD to get the better rate. From Westpac to Bangkok bank if done before 1800 eastern states time the usually in the next day and to Kasikorn bank 2 days.

I use Vodafone and transfer from OZ via Westpac and not have a problem. You do need to have data roaming on whilst in Thailand. I only put the Vodafone sim in to do the transfer then remove it. Also when you do your transfer send and receive in AUD for a better exchange rate.

You can also get on to the Vodafone web site to do a lot of the setting for your account.

The unit not shutting the compressor of when it has reached the desired temp. I would go more with B. If it is not shutting the compressor of then it is likely the temp sensor part of the head unit. Best thing to do is ask the owner to get the control board of the head unit changed. As it would be the cheapest and easiest thing to do as part of the circuit could have gone.
