Doses for less than half the population is not enough to cope with the pandemic, anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded.

Surely that is enough. If half are vaccinated and the vaccine works, then the half that have not been vaccinated cannot pass it on......or are we getting vaccinated for the sake of it and because MSM tells us we have to?

  2. I has no idea a virus could be so clever. I thought they just infected at whim, no matter who you are and where you are. But here we have a virus so mutated and seemingly with a form of AI, that it knows when you are in a bar drinking and when you are on the beach drinking.

I am even more shocked that in being this clever, the virus is now more clever than many humans who show a total inability for critical thinking.

  3. As Harry has suggested Life Insurance companies (as AIA is) cannot offer just Medical Insurance as they have the wrong license. The way they get around this law is to bundle the medical with Life insurance.

So not a legal issue as much as wrong licence issue then. Why don't they just get the right licence like any credible firm?

  4. I looked at AIA but found out it is a Life Insurance company. Was told you have to buy Life cover (quite useless after 20 years as the amounts are so small) which increases the cost. I found better health coverage from other medical insurance companies

Not sure you were being told the truth there matey. I had AIA three years back and was not told to buy life insurance, so maybe you were dealing with one of those sell sell sell agent types???

  5. since buying a condo = having to transfer the full amount in a foreign currency to Thailand, I suppose it is safe to assume that no local mortgage is possible

Not exactly. There are case-by-case chances of getting a loan/mortgage to buy here in Thailand, but i doubt very much you will get more than 60%LTV and you will then be likely only to get that offered by way of via the developer you were buying from or from UOB......

  6. Pattaya is a country made for westerners , its not a part of Thailand. Thats why westerners either love it or hate it.

And thats why some Thais wont even talk about Pattaya.

But if you're looking for cheap girls, booze, sex and western food its perfect. Amen.

Bangkok Thais are number 1 for property purchase in Pattaya, mainly due to the floods and pollution of Bangkok,so where do u get SOME tHAIS wont talk about Pattaya,is that 1,2 or 3 thais have have spoken with.

    btw

Pattaya is not a country, and the place is flooded with non westerners, where do u get this utter drivel from

Where do YOU get this utter drivel from. I know some Thai's who bought yes, ONLY because of the floods, not mainly. They NEVER use their home they bought there, EVER as they hate Pattaya but it made sense to buy there. Talk about putting spin on it to try and win an argument for your beloved sex haven.

Yes i do KNOW his for a FACT as i work in real estate and hospitality here for 15 years!

A man with his eyes wide open, well done sir.

  8. Often take the wife and kids down to Jomtien for long weekends on the beach but would steer clear of Pattaya beach as it is just full of homeless looking people pedaling sex, drunk, werido's etc. No one in their right mind can say that is stereo typing, it is fact. Pattaya centre and beach road is sleeze, sex and dirty etc. Other than that for sure there are nice aspects/parts to it.

Well, dont sit on the beach at night <deleted>.I have walked pattaya beach DAYTIME,and i havent seen sleeze as u say.some hookers, but unless they go to u there is no problems

All i can say is you clearly have not been there in the last 50 years during the day, or like many you want to hide and wallow in it. Beach road is nothing but drunks, homeless and ladies touting, that is the truth, but if you like it, go for it, all yours.

U are talking very stupid, drunks in the daytime,u are deluded.Homeless, now dont start on that, look at Bangkok

So you are saying there are no drunks in Pattaya beach road during the day?

Do you work for the Thailand Travel Board per chance. Deluded as they come.

Has it occurred to you that those "weirdos" probably find you and your family just as stereotyped, strange and unpleasant as you find them? Possibly even more so.

And who is to say which group is right?

There is nothing wrong with sleaze and sex and dirt if that is what you happen to like. Just as there is nothing wrong with families and general niceness if you happen to like that. But oddly enough it's always the "nice family people" who criticise and moan about anyone who doesnt behave just like they do.

Yeah because families are so disgusting aren't they. me thinks the lady protest to much. Out tonight by any chance?

  12. I still have BUPA, not sure if it is better or worse than AIA, so many people have so many opinions. It seems to be a typical "Insurance" product that will maybe pay out if i get sick etc, if under certain circumstances, at certain times, places etc and at that stage they may only pay like half the bill. Better than nothing, but always read the serious small print, as my advisor matey did for me at Lifestyle Insurance. Boring as hell this guy was as he made me read with him and listen to each detailed section, it was like being back in school detention, but he was serious about his job shall we say. It was in HK, i bought Life Insurance from him also. clap2.gif Can you imagine how long that took!

  13. I have no emotional attachment to Devere because I've never heard of them. Why do you keep bringing them up? They have nothing to do with anything here.

A weak attempt to deflect attention?

Isn't it time for you to get back to tending your bar?

I think that's enough, my work here is done. You have shown who you are and who you work for trying to out a competitor, tut tut sir, not professional.

  14. Yup -- easily available from the Thai Registry of Companies.

Now...what was your claimed previous user name? If you fail to advise, I'm afraid I have nothing more to say to you (Mr. Wood, possibly?).

Oh dear. So a user name is more important than you failing to want to do any DD on a rival company to those on here. Me thinks you work at Devere David.

  15. The guys who make the calls are young. The guy who posted here is young (late 20's).

    Is that all you got?

And who gives a flying fig about Devere? What's the relationship to the topic?

And AGAIN...what was your previous user name?

You seem keen not to talk about Devere, you seem to have an emotional attachment to this group. Why is that?

Hopefully this will have taught you that most of what you have claimed and said here is rot, as i have turned it all back on you. but no doubt you will just come back with meaningless rhetoric.

Previous name was stbangers.....only made maybe 300 posts....but that is because i don't usually bother with such places due to .......... yeah you guessed it, people pretending to be lawyers coming back with DD from wikipedia.

If you can't see the relationship to the topic being dever are cold calling IFA's then you do need to go back and sit the BAR exams again, the right BAR this time though. tongue.png

  16. Never. And doubt I ever will.

Like others, I'm left totally cold by cold calls.

Sad to say, if you think like that then in fact you are as closed minded as those who cold call.

I asked a question on an expat forum some time back, let us see what answers we get on here. You have 10m baht to invest, would you

    A. Buy a condo in Bangkok?

    B. Leave it in the Bank earning 1%

    C. Maybe speak to an investment expert who can make it work best for you?

Seriously, cold calls, yeah no good man, but if you want to build a building you see an architect and builder, if you have legal issues you see a lawyer, if you want to invest money, do you go down to the local expat bar and ask your mates? fact is, these people do in fact know what they are doing (not sure about the above) i know this as i bought an investment plan in 1999 when i worked in Saudi and it has averaged me 9.7% net in those 14 years. Much better than depreciating Bangkok condos and worthless banks.

For serious financial matters I visit with a reputable private banking officer at an international bank, or discuss with my stock broker back home.

These fly-by-night "expat" experts are mostly just trying to sell you their product so they can get a commission. Most are highly unqualified, young, and are living in Bangkok for all the wrong reasons. Most are less than half my age and have no experience in anything other than trying to sell their product.

Another tip: the address in Pacific Place 2 really turns me off. That has been one of favored locations of boiler rooms for as long as I can remember.

    Most are young.....

    http://www.businessclassgroup.com/key.asp

Well that seems wrong for starter, so maybe you want to retract that? They all look as old as Methusala (how is that spelt?)

You do know what Due Diligence means yes?

Now, back to Deverewhistling.gif Not got anything other than wikipedia in your inventory?

Oh and you claim that address is the 'favoured location of boiler rooms' so again as a lawyer i am sure you have past evidence of this and links to such things yes? Or........whistling.gif
