I have a Thailand Elite Card and a work permit linked to my Thailand Elite Visa.
This allows me to travel as frequently as I want and to work legally in Thailand.

No traffic education in the schools.
The driving test is a complete joke.
The police is only interested in tea-money.
The technical vehicle tests are laughable.
The general population has a total lack of respect for any rules and for each other.
I cannot drive for more than a minute without meeting a car or a motorbike driving on the wrong side of the road, let alone all the other craziness that I see all the time on the roads.
It actually surprises me that there are not more accidents.
Yes, drunk driving is a serious problem in Thailand but it is only part of the problem.

Nok Air is in my experience quite easy to book online but Air Asia is near impossible, even for an educated Thai national. Because of this my family mostly uses Nok Air.

I have a Thailand Elite Card since 2006 and spend most of my time in Thailand.
My accountant has arranged for a work permit on my Thailand Elite Visa.
It was very easy and I never had any problems with this set-up.
I do not actually work but I still prefer to have a work permit because I do not want to look over my shoulder all the time when I do something.
The Thai Immigration Officers have always been very friendly whenever I entered or left the country because I have always used the Thailand Elite Airport service.
