  1. It is expensive indeed, for my family with two small children, just the airport transfer & 8 RT-PCR tests cost me almost 20000 THB. Not counting the 4 tests required before flight. And the whole process is so complicated. Most people would be better off by not traveling, but everyone has their own reasons and some people just have to. But with this overly complicated scheme I don't think that many people are willing to go through all the hoops.
  2. Interestingly Phuket hoteliers seems to already have raised their prices... that will surely help them getting them fully booked, can't beat their logic.
  3. Many European travellers have already got this omicron variant, with different symptoms. I was actually due to travel tomorrow to BKK under original T&G circumstances but wifeys pre-travel PCR test turned up positive, which was a total surprise because virtually she had no symptoms at all. Better to have a positive test here than in BKK though. We were able to rebook those flights to a later date, but now need to apply for a new Thailand Pass. It was a little bit disturbing to read about the Day 5 test, which to the information published so far, do not take into account if you have recovered from Omicron. To us it's only a money grab, nothing else. Here's hoping that they'd account for those scenarios also, but I'm not holding my breath seeing their track record so far.
  4. Hague Embassy now posting that TP "cut-off date of 15 Jan 2022 has been revoked". https://hague.thaiembassy.org/th/content/going-to-thailand-16dec21 Great news if true. And if still true when I'm about to travel in few weeks. Starting to be totally fed up with everything going back and forth.
  5. Yeah, according to Richard Barrow that information about the 15th deadline is about to be changed. What a mess.
  6. I just asked this from Thai Embassy in Helsinki and they just posted this link, which says the deadline is still the 15th of January. I have approved Thai Pass for 29th.. don't know what to do right now. Maybe cancel everything. Waiting for a bit now though, should be clarifications soon. https://helsinki.thaiembassy.org/en/publicservice/thailand-s-entry-regulations?page=5f49f4a199a85e260f4278de&menu=5d80876d15e39c3354007bb1
