So if you anticipate ill health and at 80 even if fit you must expect some age related issues of which some might be quite sudden (stroke) you’d best be back in good time. You’d be immediately entitled to emergency treatment anyway and if you haven’t funds they really can’t get blood out of a stone anyway. If it happens in Thailand you’re really up sh1t creek.
There is no 6 month wait as soon as you return get an address you register

where would you all stay if you went back ?
One thing there are places to rent but finding one that will take older people not working are hard to find.

Misleading I believe, so long as you were fully paid up on NI contributions, and are returning permanently, and subject to the assets you still have they will do the rest
One hour before heathrow, throw a fit and insist on ambulance to meet you, and all will be taken care of
I generally refer to those 75 plus
Correct you have to register with NHS. as soon as possible

Yes, TransferWise works Great. Their fees are smaller if you only transfer $1200 USD or less, otherwise they quickly charge more than Bangkok Bank does.
I checked the charge for 20000 uk. pounds to thailand the quoted charge was 128 pounds I can doe the same with swift code for 22 pounds plus 500 baht so <deleted>-k transfer wise

Yes, it's easy. Just do a SWIFT transfer. In theory, you can do this at any Bangkok Bank branch, but it's best to go to a big branch where the staff are used to dealing with tourists/foreigners, like the branch at Siam Paragon or another mall in Bangkok.
If you have Bangkok Bank internet banking, you can apply to set up an international transfer service - just fill out a form and supply the required documents. I set this up years ago and still use it regularly. It lets you initiate your own transfers from your Bangkok Bank account to the UK whenever you want.

Link to info page: https://www.bangkokbank.com/en/Personal/Other-Services/Transfers/Transferring-Out-of-ThailandWhen I rang I was told by then the transfer would be made in USA. Dollars only but I will look into that.

Has any body recently transfer funds to the U.K. from Bangkok Bank I rang bangkok bank but was given the run around and got no real answer

As a man of over 80 insurance is if you can find very dear and has many clause's that do no cover certain ills. I do not believe Thailand is place for over 80's unless you have loads of money.

TV MUCHO is great easy to use and find shows on play back, just go to search first 3 letters and there you go so whats hard about that
They should consider employing someone who has got beyond CSS lesson 1. Whoever is doing it at the moment really doesnt have a clue.

Between the completely unusable interface and the massive buffering I stopped using it a couple of weeks ago and now use the various official catch-up services via VPN exclusively. No buffering at all and it's easy to select the programmes I want to watch.
TVMucho is simply a disaster and I will not be renewing it.
Strange I am having no problems apart from with ITV 4 racing on playback nd thats a crap show any way

If he is on UK. state pension and he is 90 his pension is frozen so he will still be getting the same pension rate of 1987. So the UK. are party to blame.

Hi, Someone else with the same problem as me. I have had nothing since Friday 18th. They said in a message that they are having technical difficulties in Asia. I keep chasing them about when it will be sorted, but I've heard nothing more. At least I know it's not my PC. Android won't work either. Let me know if anyone gets any more updates from them. I'VE BEEN WITH THEM 2 YEARS AND NEVER HAD IT GO DOWN FOR THIS LONG. I'm also with TRUE

Democrats condemn Trump, white nationalism after two mass shootings

The yanks have had mass shootings for many years long before Trump. They never learn that as long as any one can go and buy what ever weapon they want it will go on and on. As long as most of the senators in the pocket of N.G.A wackos it will not change.
