Is there a Thai word for "TRANSPARENCY"? If so, how come a minister don't know about it?

BUT, but only 2 days ago the Minister of Tourism said visitors were flocking to LoS for Songkran, that numbers were up for the first 3 months of the year and that tourism was well on target to meet the projected target and she not one to give out misleading information.
If tourism does suffer because of aviation problems then it's simply self- inflicted injury other than the fact that it will not be recognised as such and must, as ever, be everyone else's fault.

Ever heard of a convenience oracle being a tourism expert?

Thai govt 'willing' to work with new US ambassador
What a relief for the US!!The world power Thailand is offering its cooperation.............Thailand is willing to work with the new ambassador "for the sake of peace in the country and stability in the region.
Now, isn't that extraordinary generous- especially in view of all available alternatives?

When you come into this world, the first things you explore are female breasts. So what the heck is so scary about them after you grew up in Thai society? Without them you would have probably be fed on Lao Khao. However, on a second thought it seems many of these hypocrites and guardians of morality experienced exactly that.
Kaew Yunyong, a Facebook user, said had the man done it in Singapore, he would have been caned and jailed for seven days.
...and the same would appear to every Thai for urinating in public in every soi, which is quite common in your hub of moral and culture.

The owners were charged with illegally modifying their vehicles by installing sound amplifier louder than that permitted by the law and causing nuisance to others.
I would like to have this law in writing to show it to my Thai landlord and neighbors.

Imagine the outcry and losing face when they do the same with the planned China-Thailand railway connection. Oh, big blothel no vely nice anymole?

I have seen the English language test for cops applying for a job with the immigration police. It will take at least 3 years of intensive teaching for the average Thai to pass. Hence, expect no more than 5 cops in 2018 who understand what you are talking about.

The red shirts don't think they can win the next election but think they can bomb their way back into power. Don,t think that will work try another plan.
Well done Sir!!
Within half an hour of the incident taking place you have already decided the motive and placed the blame.
Almost faster than the RTP.
As for the elections, why do you think they are put on hold?
Maybe, just maybe because the powers are fully aware of, that free elections will see another red government.
Now we are just waiting for the police to reveal that they have found red shirt memorabilia and ID cards on the crime scene. And one of the ID card names had a FB account with the username B OMB.
Narrow minded people like you are more dangerous than any bombs..............
Now I'm waiting for the quote of a high ranking official stating: it was most probably the act of someone who was dissatisfied with the garbage disposal- no political background was detected thus far. Tourists are safe.

Another sign of the times to come.
Looks like the guys who make the 2% in the recent polls about government popularity are getting serious now.

a recent survey by the Paris-based research company Ipsos...
That's a result you get when you start with Pastis and Beaujolais for breakfast.
Pas de Beaujolais au déjeuner, mais le Pastis oui

What is the problem with you all?
They are issuing a sensible warning to people ( I've seen many with plastic bags around their necks) and you are taking the piss.
I think you all need serious help, more than the ones that are going to loose their belongings with the plastic bag.
You must feel very safe when it comes to issues related to water as you know already you will never drown in the well of wisdom.

He said police had not ruled out a personal conflict as being behind the attack, noting that the mall had recently laid off workers.
After reading the first 15 lines, that is exactly the statement I was waiting for. An act of personal revenge from laid off or underpaid workers would come in handy as it will not hurt the tourism as much as ongoing political conflict.
-
That makes perfect sense in a country with millions of unregistered firearms in private possession.

I’m not taking any side. Neither red nor yellow. It’s the declining freedom of the press that is worrying.

Former Pheu Thai MP for Samut Prakan Worachai Hema said it was too premature for government officials to conclude…
Maybe that’s why you are a former MP Mr. Worachai.
For the new government there are no premature conclusions according to Minister of Tourism and Sports Ms. Kobkan.

Second list of corrupt Thai officials may go to PACC
Any current delay may be caused by an unbiased expert team that is probably very busy to sift chaff from the wheat.

If you travel to Thailand and do minimal research, you realise stuff happens. Probably more risky to have an incident USA as far as bombings are concerned.
These "it probably happens elsewhere posts" are tiring. Next time please go fishing instead.

No cancelled trips to LoS ! An immediate, totally expected and equally unbelievable statement from someone not noted for the accuracy of her comments and just how could she be so definite in such a short time. ?
What about tourists already in the country who planned to visit Samui and have changed their mind or those already there who have / are cutting their stay on the island short ? If there are it will either be ignored or denied as nothing ever affects tourism.
Surprise, Surprise tourism is expanding and on target for arrivals ! What else could it be ?
According to her stupid comment these "experts" seem to believe nothing hurt Thai tourism in the past so far and not even a nuclear disaster or epidemic disease outbreak would.
Declining numbers of tourists- if they ever happen to appear- are the results of economic crisis elsewhere, of problems caused by other nations (travel warnings / bad press) and if these conjured excuses don't work,- we play our ace in the hole: it is all caused by evil spirits.
Never blame us for anything - so nobody will lose face. All happy.

Minister won't reveal names on graft list

How many Snowden's would it take to to make the names of all corrupt individuals in Thailand public? That makes me re-think my adverse approach towards cloning.
