I just paid my premium for my new health insurance. Its Pacific Cross "long stay for retirement in Thailand" policy. Seriously no advertisement ....just happy to get that one out of the way. It is 40/400 and at 54 years old cost me $1000 USdollars????????(not sure any good ....555)

Agreed. However I have really noticed the total lack of tourist at Jomtien Beach, few to no Chinese or Indians in the afternoons lately and the few venders seem desparate at times. Also my drive to Pattaya on motorcy great with 90% (no data) less coaches bleching black smoke! And yes I love respite from high season numbers but do feel for business folks.

This sounds fishy.... also no time given ..was it 4am or 6pm ? I assume after dark....which means this 14 year old or 8th grader should have been home with adult mother, father or guardian ( however here its much different) At night the beach seems less dangerous to teens. Its really SAD so many Farang's are "haters" of their adopted country?? If the Thais are so bad, money hungry and inept at emergency medicine why not head back to the "paradise" that has no problems or greed, poor medical care etc they came from? Thailand is.... Thailand not USA, UK, Russia, Germany etc..and it is wonderful! You just have to look for the good, because it's here!! Wonderful kind and loving people, and yes murderers, rapist, money hungry women, however....nothing compared to the western cities I have lived and visited!
Example: I have been watching a spirit house on Sukhumvit near Soi 3 in bkk for almost 15 years 10 feet off the sidewalk that has never been kicked over, defaced, spray-painted or looted ...that would not last 15 min in a rural city in most all modern "first world" Western Cities around the globe! I have a Thai wife who is absolutely unbelievable! She was in USA 3 months after getting married driving her own car making her own car payments and working fulltime (same as me) so we can spend half the year kicking back in LOS. She is the most honest sweet and (not $ hungry person I have ever known!) Maybe if you want a "quality women it best to look some place other than soi 6
