I think these greedy idiots at customs key off of Fed EX. dont ship through fed ex and you should be fine!

Most of the comlaints about customs comes from people that have used Fed EX or another big carrier.

Rose coloured glasses are all the go around here. I remember some good things back in the early eighties, but I also remember staying at the old Imperial Hotel in Wireless Road for a couple of months, a new building was going up next door, and the building workers lived in the building, and did all their ablutions in full view, including bowel evacuations.

If you were poor back then, you were really poor, and there was a lot of discrimination by the well off against those down the pecking order.

Some good things, the old Saigon Bakery on Silom, and that terrific shop that sold locally made tee shirts next door. The Saturday night buffet at the Oriental Hotel. In fact, all the hotel buffets, 100b net for a fabulous spread at lunchtime just about everywhere. No wonder I put on weight.

The girlie bars, of course. Especially the ones away from the main tourist areas, I lived in Phayonyothin Soi 4, and there was a wonderful locals bar up the road at Saphan Khwai. I do admit I took some comfort there.

And there is a huge difference between sickly pale skin and healthy porcelain skin that most Thai women want. There is a difference. Even brown skinned people can look pale.

It's just the opposite here to western countries pale faced women, who are adamant on sporting a tan.

Most White actresses and public western women in the Hollywood are actually very fair skinned as in they almost never sport a tan.

Most Farang women tan to get a light tint to their skin and they enjoy the process, they are not drooling over other women who have dark skin. They are not tanning to be deep brown most of the time.

And Thai and Asian women find white skin beautiful because it is century old Asian tradition notion. Has nothing to do with White people.....

When i stayed in the USA i actually saw some caucasian males and females pretty fair almost white. No they didn't look attractive. They were too fair on the extreme scale. Most caucasians aren't that pale. In contrast there are very very dark almost pitch black africans and they don't look good either. It's just too extreme.

Here is an example of an extremely fair white guy sheamus from wwe. He the fairest white wrestler there and see how odd looking his skin tone is when compared to other wrestlers like say triple H

the irony is that people tan because of ignorance like you.....tan or brown skin does not indicate Health. you have been brainwashed to think tan is better because that is what the west drills in people's head. However, tanning seems to be going a little away in the west thanks to healthy concerns and the fact that pale skin is healthier.
