Never thought about it! I live by the code that if two people agree to have a child they love it and take care of it. Call me old fashioned, but I love that!
Everything else is just stupid people, bad planning and uneducation about securing yourself.
After that. What´s the fuzz. Wanna make an abortion? Just do one, beofre the prescribed time when it´s to late.
How G.D. hard can it be. Me four year old daugther undrestand this!so when a girl gets raped and becomes pregnant, is that just bad planning.

About time they got rid of these African women, same in BKK.
Should be a 45kg weight limit for foreigners to ply their trade in Thailand. Not one of these would come close.
Be very worried about Africans, Mind you same as Chonburi.
An AIDS epidemic is sweeping through Madagascar’s high-risk populations, including gay men and sex workers. But a low detection rate means the statistics do not match the reality. EurActiv France reports.

In all seriousness there should be some kind of 911 number for those who are so depressed and thinking of taking their own life. This is not a joking matter. It seems suicides happen every two weeks in Pattaya-- we all know the reasons: financial; broken heart; poor health; aging... Most "farangs" come here alone so there is no support system of family or even true friends to get emotional support, whereas back in our home countries we not only have family or friends but professional counselors that can re-direct our moments of depression. (If I my profession was in psychology this would be a great place to retire and open up a part time office.)
why should a guy coming to Pattaya not have family or friends, ridiculous statement.

This is absolutely wonderful news! Baht buses confined to one lane, limited rental bikes, fantastic! After beach road, I hope they get rid of all of rental bikes on soi's between beach road and 2nd road, especially around soi 7, 8, 13, 13/1, 13/2, 13/3. A good limit to rental bikes would be 5 bikes per block, anymore would confiscated and sold at auction, proceeds to the army or city hall - for repair of sidewalks and enlarging sewers.
Got to love the army!
One problem???? the bus lanes will be full of motorbikes

One answer for me, not even going into details. been here many years and still love Thailand. For me, living normaly is the key to happiness, keep out the bars every day, have enough money for here, or any other place in case the shhhh hits the fan, for whatever reason.
Nothing difficult about living a normal life, wherever one lives.

We really NEED to know if these higher financial levels for the 10 year visa will be the ONLY option. If so, I guess there will be a lot of fire sale condos soon!
It would replace one-year renewable visas and come in two installments of five years each, Athisit said. It was not immediately clear when the plan would be implemented.

You are doing the right thing heading back to Europe. Like you say, simple pleasures like going for a walk here are out of the question due to the heat, it's ridiculous. Many on here will say that's BS and you can go for pleasant strolls, but you cannot, it's simply too frigging hot, end of story.
The heat here drives me insane, it's simply not a natural way to live everyday, in fact it is completely <deleted>*ked up and in truth a very depressing, sad way to live. Don't bother to argue either.
what a wuss hahahahahah

Not the OP but again you would have to be blind not to notice them. Most foreign criminals do not tend to enter often they are already here. A special look you ask? You do not need any special device to notice them they are obvivous . Any one involved in law enforcement could spot them.
No criminals living in usa or uk hahahahahahahahahah. The majority of ex pats here, are decent people with enough m,oney to live their lives

African-Americans are failing to vote at the robust levels they did four years ago in several states that could help decide the presidential election, creating a vexing problem for Hillary Clinton as she clings to a deteriorating lead over Donald J. Trump with Election Day just a week away.
As tens of millions of Americans cast ballots in what will be the largest-ever mobilization of early voters in a presidential election, the numbers have started to point toward a slump that many Democrats feared might materialize without the nation’s first black president on the ticket.
Nice try. That's old news with a byline of Nov 2. Here's the latest news from Florida. You've heard of Florida?
As of Saturday, 565,000 Hispanics have voted in person in Florida, a 100 percent increase over the close of early voting in 2012, according to Daniel Smith, a University of Florida professor who tracks voter turnout.
“Over the past few days, we’ve seen black turnout explode, with more African-Americans voting early in-person than in 2012, and we still have ‘Souls to the Polls’ numbers from today to add to the running total,” Smith told AFP.
A total of 777,000 blacks have already voted in Florida, he said.
American black voters will vote for trump if he said that he will stop ILEGAL MEXICAN IMMIGRANTS, entering USA.Makes perfect sense.

All these thais involved should be lined up for a smackdown. This thai behavior is disgraceful. Embarassing for thais not to mention illegal to be holding carspots and terrorizing like this i was reading recently. I suffered in phuket the same fate. I unknowingly parked in a taxi spot completely unmarked. Idiots blocked me in with mm to spare either side. I had my wife and 1yr old son. I should have known better but i was pissed. I shimmied down the taxis window i think breaking it, took the handbrake off hit nuetral and pushed the taxi out the way with incredible force surprisingly so mostlikely hit something down the road. The thais went for my wifes car door and were basically going for my son and were trying to drag them out the car so i i did a fake gun manouver (nolonger needed) to get them to rethink for a moment for me to plant my foot. I have lived in 10houses in 12 years. I have loads of stories. Things arent balancing out now though. Might be time to leave this lazy selfinsh zenophobic country.
You were drunk with wife and kid in the vehicle too, shame on u

I wonder at what point did they think "Hmm maybe it's not such a good idea to deal drugs in a country like Thailand" ?
I'm guessing not long after they were caught... obviously not before they started dealing.
This is not the first time the guy has dealt, been doing for a long time, and that <deleted> ex supposedley army guy too. People are incredibly stupid and skint to do such a crazy thing like this.

I can fully understand the wanting to get back here, really!
The so called pressures are nothing specific, just a build up of straws that have broken the camels back.
Not sure which straw was the final weight!
I have lived in Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya and Issan and found them all to be acceptable and enjoyable.
I just feel quality of life here has deteriorated substantially in the last 10/12 years.
So if quality of life has deteriorated in the last 10/12 years, how long have you lived here, 20 years?????

I've lived/worked here for nearly 11 years and have a family here. There are certainly pros/cons of living here, but I haven't really experienced any changes that have made my life more restricted or oppressive, even though I loathe the politics here. Perhaps the OP could be more specific about the "pressure" he is feeling?
BEEN here a few years longer and i dont feel any pressurte, with governments, with police, with army, with visas, what is the problem with people.

It appears the schedule has changed the main channel for matches will now be Beinsports 1. Bein sports 5 has now disappeared! It appears only 4 9pm games will be shown live. I would post the schedule, but Thaivisa won't let me upload it. It can be viewed on Truevisions Facebook page. More concerning is the "Saturday Live" preview/review show is stated as being in Thai on both EPG and Online TV guide. I'll give this lot until end of month before I look at other possible options. If no English punditry or mid week shows like before I might bin 'em!
Not forgetting there are games on friday now in the premier league. So maybe 4 channels will be enough. 1x friday, 1 x lunch time sat, 4 x 3pm, and 1 x 5,30pm, 2 or 3 sunday and maybe 1 monday also
