Regardless of how stupid it may seem, he'll get money for his travels, people will fund him given he's a walking disaster. I've traveled throughout the world and never had the problems he's had.

Mostly depends on the flight costs for me. Thailand is still a good launching point to other countries in the area, Burma, Laos and Vietnam. I'd go to Bali for a resort holiday, not that I'm a resort type of person, but in 2015 I spent time at Ngapali Beach Burma and loved it, must go back again.

Spent time in Burma last year and had four nice days at Ngapali, great place and I'll go back, but I'm heading over to Sri Lanka next, so Burma will need to wait a few more years. If you want to make your girl feel special, go to Ngapali.
Accommodation was at Memento Resort, 18.40624, 94.33367, Beach facing fan room with private bathroom and breakfast (52000 mmk) You don't come to this area for cheap accommodation, the cheapest Agoda price was double this. Google map view https://goo.gl/maps/7Q5KChxQw4F2

Had an S5 until it got stolen in Cuba. Replaced it with a Moto G3. Better than both Samsung or Apple unless you want to impress.

Very sad indeed.
I was watching a father dote over his young daughter near Pattaya a few weeks back and she was around five. Mum and Dad put their helmets on and the daughter was standing up front with no protection. I thought the most precious thing in their life, and they don't seem to care about her safety.

I have booked through Agoda, paid online, arrived at the hotel, been told my booking was through Booking.com, showed them the booking on the Agoda app on my phone with confirmation of payment via credit card, called Agoda who told me yes, it was a booking through Agoda on behalf of Booking.com, told by the hotel that they need cash payment, the rep on the phone confirmed, I didn't have cash and why was I going to pay when they had already charged my account. I left the hotel and booked an alternative with Agoda on their app using my credit card then had hassle over two weeks getting a refund for the first hotel.
Eventually I was refunded by a rep who thought the whole situation was stupid and that Agoda shouldn't be selling Booking.com bookings. I was also given 10% off a booking of my choice in the subsequent 12 months.
Years of using Agoda, my only complaint is that the points expire. I've lost $100s because I forgot to redeem them.
I had a similar situation in Pattaya a few days ago, I got to reception and the girl said you've booked through Booking.com and you need to pay us some money. I went through Agoda, so after 10 minutes of stuffing around, we realised Agoda is working for Booking.Com, how stupid.
I one stage I used Agoda all the time, but now occasionally, and go directly to the hotel and get a price, often it's cheaper and if not I book the same hotel online, or go elsewhere.

Thailand would have to offer something sweet....for the luxury of snapping up rich, educated tourists. Nobody likes dual pricing...even the rich...as it is a slap in the face. I went to a National Park near Nam Nao and was told to pay 400, while thais only paid 40. Just a small example...but a good start.
Thailand and Burma have this dual pricing policy, don't you love it.
In Pattaya a few days ago, the police were booking all the tourists on motorbikes, probably no licenses, not really sure but they were having field day whereas elsewhere, they couldn't care less.

I thought dogs were a sacred animals, because one decided to call it quits for the night at the 7/11 entrance near the till, he didn't care about all the people walking around him.

If you don’t mind challenging cycling, ride up to Bhubing Palace and Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, that’ll occupy you for the day. - https://goo.gl/maps/R5c9hThe next day ride to Royal Flora Ratchaphruek - https://goo.gl/maps/Ixskd

A few weeks back, I was chatting to a Thai girl that works as a secretary at a car wash in Chiang Mai and she was educated in OZ, her brother and sister live in OZ permanently and she would too, but married a Thai guy. So it seems from this discussion that once the Thai's leave Thailand, they won’t go back permanently unless there’s a good reason like family.

My little old Moto G does everything needed at 1/6th of the price of a (sp)I phone, just a fashion icon for the easily led.
I'm guessing you're over 50.
Hey, I'm over 50 and I reckon they're the best, it's my number one travel tool but if you only make calls then what's the point.
-
I avoid them like the plague but sometimes I need to use them and of course when I do it makes me realise why I don't use them. I tell the hotel to get me a taxi, so she sends a girl to find one, anyway ten minutes later along comes this brand new taxi with leather seat and the works but he doesn't want my push bike on the back seat because it might scratch the seat and I'm running out of time so money talks, he got me to Don Mueang airport real fast.
How long will it take for the BTS to go past Don Mueang airport because I see they are hard at work Thai style.

A womanizer friend would say as soon as you smell a hint of trouble, get out of there but I reckon marry her, it's not like the West where she can take everything you own, but be careful of the long con.

I am a firm believer in consistancy, its better to do something slow but keeping it up then going all out and giving up half way. So find some exercise that suits you.
Consistency, balanced diet and exercise are the key ingredients, you'll hit a few bumps along the way but stay on course as best you can and you'll find success.

I'd be doing a bit of PR work on the mum, give her a gift, then you'll be part of the family and more sympathetic to the problems they face, rather than someone on the other side of the wall tearing his hair out.

Old Geoffrey must of been a graduate of Thailand because he know how to hook the young ones, and why not, he's only going to die a sad old bloke so he might as well spend his millions on them. I'll take a leaf out of his book any day when it comes to the woman.

Brynne the Ex wife, but he's hooked up with something better by media reports.

You mention heat, I'm drooling with envy, I love it.
Some warmth would be great, it's freezing in Melbourne at present, I'll be in Alice Springs in a few weeks, can't wait to get out of this ice box.

EveryTrail is pretty clunky these days, not long back I couldn't upload for weeks,
Everytrail is offline at present, I want some data but no can do, hopefully I'll get by tomorrow.
-
For example, everytrail.com allows you to attach not just descriptions, but photos and even videos to individual waypoints. Fantastic if you are interested in the quality of a trail and not just how fast you can race it.
By the way, you can put photo's on Strava via Instagram and they are geo-referenced so they are the same as waypoints.
EveryTrail is pretty clunky these days, not long back I couldn't upload for weeks, so I'd be using two platforms, the only reason I use Everytrail is because it's easy to share GPS data.
I forgot to mention, if you don't like your data being seen then switch it to private.

You won't be able to tell the difference unless you're told or you explore the options.
My mate's been to Bangers many times and only knows his hotel room and the place's he finds the woman. He chatted to this bird for two hours and then asked her back to his room, the girl confessed and said she was a Lady-boy, to his suprise, he didn't pick it.
For the punters that reckon they can tell the difference, they must live outside Bangkok because there must be a Lady-boy grading system, only the good ones work there.

I'd just open a joint account, put in 30k baht and see how long it lasts, if the money has gone in a flash then she's too expensive but over time you'll see her spending habits.
You will learn.
Once you turn the tap on you can't turn it of.
Its never enough.
You will need to set a limit.
Get back to us in 12 months and let us know how your getting on.
If you're paying per month then what have you got ????
But if you're sharing then what do you have ????
The money might be gone in a flash but at least you know it's time to move on unless i'm happy with that arrangement.
If I want trust, then I'm going to share but if I want a working girl then I'll pay.

definitely not a lady boy..
but I am just concerned about what would happen when a build like that gets an extra 30+ pounds put onto it down the road from getting pregnant etc ...
Normally they get like that when they've had kids, so if she hasn't had kids, then she might get bigger in the hip region.

I'd be getting a little metal container made up for the bike, so it's sealed, then you can store it with more confidence.

Probably not her first time and the police would known this, but most likely the first time she's been caught. In oz, she'd get community service or a fine, maybe both, so 5000 bht is cheap.
