  1. where is this going to end

reds demand early elections...........sitting government agrees and sets date

    reds continue regardless

Mr T is behind this whole thing pumping money to the leaders, he is set on causing as much unrest as possible regardless of what agreements are reached, Mr T has a lot to answer for...treason comes to mind along with a death penalty for what he has done here........discusting

  2. the huge gap was mrT stealing from the Thai people for years filling his pockets while tossing them pocket change to keep them on side, now he is leading these poor people down a road of destruction just to satisfy his own ego

Nothing is perfect in the political landscape anywhere in the world but there are right and wrong ways to pursue your goals, terrorism ain't it, the reds need to go home before many innocent people get hurt and killed.

I think the Thai government have been very restrained up to now in fact probably let this go on too long, give a foot take a yard, time to stop giving and send these people a message.

  3. Thai PM says he is seeking political resolution to opposition standoff

(CNN) -- Thailand's prime minister said Monday that his government is working to achieve normalcy in the country

amid massive opposition protests, but warned it will take "time, patience and cooperation" from all parties involved.

simple truth relating to current administration................thailand is lawless right now.

  4. The Park Lane Jomtien Resort project is being offered to clients at an average of 25% below current market value, so owners benefit from an inherent profit from the moment they buy. If a conservative average capital growth of 15% for the next 5 years is presumed, investors stand to earn a substantial 170% return on investment.

So if a conservative capital loss of 15% over 5 years is presumed (and of course ,more chance of happening)I stand to make a loss of 170%,...hang on,hows that? sod it ,think I'll pass

    lol

  5. I keep seeing on this forum about 15 day VOA, is it no longer possible to get a 30day VOA if you are simply coming on a 4 week holiday or are people referring to visa runs and re-entry under a VOA

So to aid the answer, is a 30 day VOA still possible if just coming on a 4 week holiday ?

  6. I think the government is keeping the baht strong so the politicians can discretely move their ill gotten baht out of the country at a favorable exchange rate before an election is called. Once Thaksin and company return to power vengeance will be unleashed and many an elite will be doing a Thaksin by living in Dubai.

The Baht IS NOT STRONG! The other major currencies are weak. The situation for those of us out here is nothing to do with the Thai government maintaining a strong Baht.

currency is a relative thing, the thai baht is strong weak compared to what lol, it really depends on where it is in the big picture, and of course what your version of the big picture, compared to US dollar - euro - sterling the baht is strong :)

  7. its the thai baht that needs addressing, a possible devaluation should/could be on the cards, the euro and the sterling have been tracking hand in hand more or less for the last 2 years, gives the west fav export environmet, the thais must be struggling with exports, not sure they even have a handle on what is going on or can even measure it, time for action, thailand may actually be more alligned to the yen at the moment which in my opinion is a mistake.

Come on Thailand do something before it becomes impossible for half the world to do business with you.
