From Friday through Sunday every weekend the hotel's parking lot fills up with cars bearing Bangkok number plates, the drivers and their primarily female passengers flooding the lobby.

I can corroborate this.  But there are also lots of “tour groups of Thais” here.  And another reason is that the weather here is excellent right now, whilst Bangkok remains very hot.

All because I "overstayed my welcome".

Yes, it is very, very tough.  But you will have “overstayed”, at least on “tourist status” will you not?

But you are not alone.  Many, many others have also suffered various types of loss due to the current worldwide circumstances.

For myself, although I am very happy not to have to return to Europe for a long time yet, my absence, along with other effects of shutdowns and lack of people’s mobility, have caused me to lose a fair bit financially: about 4 million baht in current cash flow (unrecoverable) plus about 20 million of paper losses — hopefully recoverable over some years, depending on the movements in the property markets, financial markets and currency trends.

the solution; simply prepare the appropriate documents just in case,

But, please, what ‘document‘ is ‘appropriate’ (at Jomtien IO) for each of the following:

    UK government pension

    UK occupational pension

    Annuity

Investments: dividends, capital gains, rents, etc.

When must it be dated and what must be stated?  Does it need some official stamps or signatures?

The simplest would perhaps be HMRC documents but they do not necessarily indicate the source with adequate precision.   Or can I just write it all down and sign it!

Another method if indicating that the money is mine to send here is my UK bank account statements, highlighting the relevant credits and debits.  Thus is the immediate source of all the monthly payments.

Any ideas welcome, or (redacted) examples of such a complex multi-source case.  TIA.

I often buy 'nom dip' raw milk at the Thai-Danish dairy in CM.

Goes great in your tea and good to drink as well (about 130bht for 5Kg).

In what sense is it raw?  Entire and unprocessed?

And is it actually sold in kg, rather than litres?

    TIA for extra info.

    The two I know:

    Light blue -  semi-skimmed

    Dark blue  -  ordinary pasteurised

White top is fat-free, I think.  Never buy it myself.

I think that Black top is the same as Dark Blue, from certain brands.

I have my favourite brands but I guess no one wants to know about them.  Meiji is the most like ‘standard UK milk’ but others taste a little creamier to me, having ‘a more continental style’ that I prefer.

[I drink about a litre per day, but unadulterated by tea.]

I did mine at the office here after skipping one in April and no stamp was done in my passport. I only needed the old receipt and my passport and it was done in a few minutes with new receipt to report in November.

Pretty much an identical story to mine, just this morning at Jomtien.  Must have been in the office for at least two minutes!
