  1. No, not all of us!

I am more interested in the similarity between HER and the contents of previous posts of yours that believe the flaunting of one's Rolex and a requirement to let the assembled bar populace aware  of your absurd wealth so that the women swarm around you like flies, later to boast of it to us here on the forum is - a coincidence?

    Teeveeing.com

    Cheap and works well

On this recommendation, I have been to the teeveeing website but can find nothing about watching the Euros or indeed anything remotely connected with any sport. There are no Sky Sports, TNT and even Eurosport Channels are not showing as being covered by the service.

In an attempt to find out from them, through the chat box that doesn't work and the email I am trying to send comes up with a constant error message has left me coming back to you to see if you can help me!

    Thank you

There will be very few people on this forum that have information about which there is little known specifications that doesn't even speak of foundations and a house plot size; in addition to which if such a thing was relating to current economic conditions.

No builder worth his salt should be building houses with no proper drawings!

Look at some newish houses around and if you like them somewhat, ask who built them and get them along to get a quote.

But you will need to be a lot more specific about what you want,

As someone said: insist on labour and materials issues to be quoted separately, not to mention a timescale, all of which requires a binding contract between you.

I would like to add that you might like to engage a Qualified Surveyor to establish potential building complications such as land subsidence or subject to flooding; many houses in Thailand are built on "stilts" to avoid major indoor flooding, particularly in the wet season and or near water sources!

  4. There are definite signs that others have mentioned.

My suggestion is simple - don't go to places where they are! That is Pattaya, Phuket and places well known to most in Bangkok- especially in Bars.

As a general point, it is unlikely you will find a suitable woman for a meaningful relationship in bars.

Even though I have no relevant experience in mistaking ladyboys for "real" women, I feel confident that some reasonable conversation would surely reveal some matters that didn't "add up"

Good luck in not ending up (UP) there!

Like most Thai women they hammer away at the aircon remote.  21 if we have guests.  27 if its nightime.  Turned off if we bought durian.  29 and fan if the family drunken slob lost his job again and needs a cash loan.  But 27 and low fan speed?  Is this grounds for divorce?

    Serious replies only please.

    My serious reply:

    "Like most Thai women".

Misogyny doesn't work well with women, especially those one is married to!

    Hi Folks,

This evening, I have been thinking up my favorite HEAD words....and so.....

    What are yours?

    Head of a penis?

    Giving head?

    Perchance?

    NO!

Get your minds out of the gutter, please!

I am talking linguistically here, as usual.

    Nothing naughty.

    Big RED Dog!

    Such a NICE Head word.

For example: Wow!  He's got a BIG Red Dog, a-hangin' there.....between....

English is such a wonderful language, and so very versatile, that one or two words, juxtaposed in the right way....can mean almost anything, depending upon word order, etc.

My friend Chomsky wrote about head words, but never gave any head, is my guess.

    I love the English language.

And, where does one find the BEST of the English language?

    Why.....in the UK.....OF COURSE.

My life is all about my interest in language.

And, the field of Linguistics is all-encompassing, covering many interdisciplinary fields of knowledge and research.

You gots your Linguistics of Physics, even....

    So, then....

What are your favorite HEAD words?

    Giving, receiving, what?

    And, the colored girls go......

    Humans.

Most humans were born with a brain.

This is their only redeeming characteristic, in fact.

Otherwise, humans might not be worth much.

    Do you love wordplay?

It was getting a bit boring around here....

    I think......

Anyone here interested in the Topic of HEAD WORDS?

    Like me?

Let me hear from you, then....!

    Regards,

    Gamma

Get your minds out of the gutter, please!

    Well, you started it!!

  8. Thais don't know how to boil potatoes, a "salad" is just a piece of lettuce, can't do nice french fries, toast in most places, including hotels that should know better, is just warm bread!

An "American" breakfast - we can only guess what part of America they learned from!

    Don't roast or bake anything

Bread, cakes and desserts very little idea at all!

My Thai wife likes my Western-style cooking. And she now cooks my more appealing rice than the mediocre stuff served up in most places

No, you specifically asked why someone would be denied boarding with a tourist visa, also.

No, that was my only question and yes, I would still like to receive a response for that question which arose in the first place from an example of anybody.

    It is a "what if"?

Although I wasn't referring specially to the OP, it is nevertheless true that he was suggesting a two week holiday and that would more  than likely be on a tourist visa!

stop deflecting and answer the question.

if you are not a Thai citizen, nor have PR status then you cannot call Thailand your home.

    bob.

I can call things what they are! I have been living in Thailand; embrace its culture and its people and haven't lived for the last 21 years in my country of birth.

I was born in Birmingham but I have had homes in at least ten other cities in England and wherever I lived it was home!

Now I live here and it IS home! I have a certificate of residence that means I am not a guest or casual visitor but a resident. And I am planning to stay here because I have a stable life!

  11. Arising from US political issues, my Huawei tablet, now 3 years old, was downloaded at purchase time, with Gspace to allow for certain Google apps to operate.

This includes YouTube, Google Playstore, GMail and unfortunately, any App subsequently downloaded including my VPN, automatically goes into Gspace. All these Apps are subject to the vagaries of Gspace and its constant adverts.

And for a few months, all those Apps are also being subject to daily error message stating that Gspace isn't working properly and have to close it and start again later. YouTube in particular is a complete waste of time.

I have a couple of questions please:

There is a facility for me to delete Gspace itself but I am concerned it will delete all the Apps within it! Will that happen?

Secondly, is it possible to take out the Apps, not connected with Google, so I can access them separately?

Out of Interest, I also have a Huawei phone but that doesn't  have Gspace

    Thank you

After Brexit, uprated UK pensions have continued in the EU, as it was part of the negotiations under Article 50 on the UK’s withdrawal from the EU.

Government website, Gov.UK, guidance on the rights of UK nationals in the EU, EEA or Switzerland to UK benefits and pensions from 1 January 2021, states:

    UK State Pension

You can carry on receiving your UK State Pension if you move to live in the EU, EEA or Switzerland and you can still claim your UK State Pension from these countries.

Your UK State Pension will be increased each year in the EU in line with the rate paid in the UK.

Thank you for that - could have looked it up myself but decided to include the question while I was here in this topic.

  13. I say nothing here that suggests she should have thought of THAT at any time in the past.

It wouldn't matter how much the pension was/is, her health situation and its associated costs couldn't possibly be met. Can't fairly say that is the UK Government's fault.

True, that it does seem unfair that the UK Government increased the NI contributions over the years and doesn't offer them back in reverse!

Some. countries, especially in Asia, as in Philippines, do get the annual increases in pension payments that I can tell you is 50% more that it was 15 years ago. For those in Philippines, a pension of GBP 500 per month would now be GBP 750

Anyone know what has happened since Brexit for expat pensioners in EU countries that were OK with increased payments previously?

A "Table for four" is a different scenario

I arrive at a restaurant empty or otherwise, with three others and ask for a table for four - they seat me somewhere, often with a choice - end of story without drama or conflict!

    But I am not confused!

This happens to me quite often when I go into a relatively quiet (or, more often than not, empty) restaurant alone and take a table for four.

When they ask me to move, I ask why. If they say that the big table is for large groups only then I point out that the restaurant is currently not busy, and I offer to move should customers start to arrive.

That's usually accepted by the staff. But if they still insist on me moving then I comply by moving all the way to a different restaurant.

I am a workaholic. I love my work more than my partner. However, as a human, living alone all the time can't be easy for me. One thing my ex partners never try to understand is why I am trying so hard. They always call me a robot. They are not entirely wrong because I spend most of my time working instead of chatting with the partner. So, it is not too surprising to see my partner getting easily annoyed with me. How can I improve my relationship?

The answer is in the question.

Does it makes sense to say you can't live alone and when you have someone, you have no time for them?

You are hurting them by admitting that your work is an obsession.

You should be passionate about anything that is worthwhile, but "obsessive,  "NO!
