Try these links to contact the various courses. Do you play golf or are you just starting, are you living in CM or going there for a holiday?
Gymkhana club is an old 9 hole course near the Ping river in the town, nice course, bit of history there and some mature trees ! Very easy to get to if your staying in town. Lanna course is also in easy striking distance of the town and a nice established course. Chaing Mai - Lamphun GC is getting on for 15 years old, very natural course set in its own vally. Green valley, modern style course, well laid out, nice club house. Mae Jo, only 9 holes opened last year when i played it last year but shows lots of promise, hopefully all 18 will be open when we get there in July.
I have played these 4 courses in the CM area, all worth a visit and I'm sure the other courses will be just as good. If you need lessons you could probably arrange some at one of the driving ranges as an option. Try a post in the CM forum, might get some more local info.
Tks for the reply. I hv been playing for a while but am a high handicapper and very frustrated. Where would the driving ranges for the lessons be..wud the one at Gymkhana be good or do u hv any other alternatives..Tks

I plan to visit Chiang Mai in early July and am interested in a golf holiday which will include lessons to help fix my lousy handicap. Would appreciate advice on instructors, driving ranges, prices etc and hotels close to the location that would be useful..Cheers
