With all of the data immigration holds on aliens I wonder how the recent law that Thailand’s Parliament passed, the Personal Data Protection Act, a bill created to offer citizens similar protections to the EU General Data Protection Regulation, will affect them should there be a data breach?

It was, and still is a 'O' visa based on receipt of State Pension for the purpose of visiting Thailand for up to 90 days.Correct.
The difference is that it is that it can no longer be used for multiple entries.
Please read carefully before making incorrect posts.

But...... I don't want an extension, I don't want to live permanently in Thailand. I want to visit here infrequently for up to 90 days during the western winter and be able to travel to other SE Asian countries as side trips. An multi entry 'O' based on receipt of State Pension was perfect and as yet I can't see an alternative. You get a SE non O then, during the last 30 days of its validity you convert it to a one year extension at immigration.

I too visit Vietnam regularly and totally agree.just returned from da nang, hoi an, wei, and sai gon. in d a, did not see any grotty rest., plenty of convenience stores, atms, no motor cycles driving wrong way, just walk and they miss you. never saw one accident, but yes they park on sidewalks, as do thais. wide streets clean, lots of roundabouts where traffic flows , not like thailand. hotels cleaner, better fitted and serviced than thai ones in same price range. in hoi an, of course lots of tourist, many of which were viet and chinese. in short, i have to think your post is bs to the max.

Jak2002003But the British people were deceived...…
lied to about many things, promised money for NHS, allowed the press to make up stories about Europe making us suffer by their laws, carried out unlawful political agendas by spending over the amount of money they were allowed to on their leave Europe campaigns etc etc.
The British people were not given the truth, facts or told about the real consequences financially about leaving.
And look a the David there... smug guy is not even living in the UK now... same as many of the leave Europe people... and one of the riches men in uk…. rats deserting a sinking ship!!!
I am interested to know why you felt deceived about what you voted for?
How soon after the referendum did you realise that you personally, had been deceived?
Why do you not respect differing points of view of the majority of the voters?
I am one many who having carried out our own research was not deceived!

Not the Pullman Raja Orchid Hotel in Khon Kaen. No alcohol served, even with meals on previous Buddhist days.Hotels always sell beer. Sure it is more expensive but it depends how badly you need one or how bored you are.
As has been said this is a non-thread as it happens every year and there are ways around the ban on purchasing. As have been stated in preceding posts.
If you have and are well known at your "local" and they have an electronic register just but your beers on Monday and consume on Tuesday. I have done this before for a group of 20 or so...

You are a feather plucker Mr Oiliniki, however the point remains. These flight are real and are after a hard Brexit.Your account is created in 2013... not just 10 minutes prior, like what was shown when you took that screenshot of the flight reservation before finishing your post. Next time try not to forget that your screenshot application also includes your phone headers...
What will happen? Can a KLM flight leave Birmingham? Can a British person transit Amsterdam? Will the Air France flight arrive in Birmingham?
Or will everything be cancelled.

Sadly, yes he does [emoji16][emoji16]
Some people struggle to understand that Heathrow is an INTERNATIONAL airport and deals with far more INTERNATIONAL air travel than is does EU air travel.
The alternative answer is that he believes any old shoite he reads about Brexit as long as it is negative.Well, that's just one part of the Brexit is Brexit propaganda, we have been hearing for so long. I guess Russia won this round on European security and unity.
Anyway, we are already creating united EU defence forces, which is naturally against the Russian threat. It's time to get it done now that both USA and UK are, well in their internal messes.
It's sad that we have to waste more money to military and contract killers instead of spending the money to education and healthcare. But this is what it is.
Can someone please advise me about my next trip. Will it be cancelled or changed because of Brexit? You do understand that you are quoting an UK based publishing company, which naturally is more inclined to show the UK way of seeing things, rather than how the rest of the European countries see the way UK acts and what is the situation?
May I remind you, if Brexit really happens, there two parties on the other sides of the table are not both British. If you are unable to see it by now, well, God save the United Kingdom as they have been lead wrongly.

It sounds to me as if your UK credit card is as normal in the UK is a chip and pin .
New new terminals are being used at Thai retail premises and for a chip and pin they require that the pin is entered .
The Thai retail people are not used to this pin request and put in their own PIN numbers, and after 3 attempts lock your card.
After this happened to me one time I make sure that I stay with card and watch what happens at the terminal just as you would at a UK supermarket.
It's nice to see that big C now use the contactless cards.

What is a Brit please and what methodology did you use to reach that remarkable conclusion? Do you not realise that a substantial number of British people now follow Mr Jacob Rees-Mogg.Only 2% of the the British people speak the so called "queen's language". The language that the NES brigade pretends to teach. 98% of Brits speak in their local dialects and it's not English.
