  1. Why contact an agent? It is as easy as A B C.
  2. I did a land border to Laos yesterday with my wife, she had 3 vaccines but the clinic she went to did not give her paperwork to prove it, they asked for it and 300 Bahts later in their pocket fixed the problem. Welcome to Thailand/Laos, same difference.
  3. Must be the only place in the country. But then again some farangs walk around with pink classes and they don't really see what exactly is happening in this country.
  4. Because in Thailand there are 2 laws, one for the Thai, they can do whatever they want without being afraid of repercussion, if you are a farangs get your wallet ready. I don't know how many times I went thru road blocks and they told me I was speeding, no radars of course, I gave them 200Bahts and they let me go. How many Thais are driving under age, no permit. One time the cop was giving a ticket to a farangs for not wearing a helmet on his motorbike, in the meantime, his body the cop was stopped at the red light, no helmet. You wouldn't see that in my country or any civilized country.
  5. I realize that there is no such thing as retirement Visa, read my post. They both told me that they get an O-A Visa at the Immigration every year. I took their word for it, I am not going to investigate to find out if they are right or wrong.
  6. It is not my friend using the wrong terminology, it is me, I called it a retirement Visa because you have to be 50 years old and retired, but in reality, it is a Non-Immigrant O-A and he gets it at the Immigration in Udon Thani and he has done it for years and my other friend gets his at Ubon Ratchathani Immigration, I didn’t invent that, I got it from the horse’s mouth.
  7. I just talked to one of my friends who lives in Udon Thani and he told me that he gets his retirement Visa at the Immigration in Udon Thani and he has been doing that for many years.
  8. Thank you very much, the reason I asked was because I read so many conflicting stories and it got me confused. I’ll pass it on to my friend. Again, thank you very much for your time.
  9. I have one more question for you. After you are done with your 75 days and if you do a land crossing, do you get 30 or 45 days? I thought that to get another 45 days you had to fly out and back in. Am I correct? Thank you very much for your time.
  10. Thanks, I am on holiday for 6 months to visit my Thai wife, she lives in a village not for from Nakhon Phanom.
  11. I am sorry if I am off this topic but I have to ask the expert. My friend lives in Khemmarat and he told me that he goes to Ubon Ratchathani Immigration for a retirement Visa, I did not know that you could get a Visa from the Immigration office. If it is the case, can somebody get a Tourist Visa from the Immigration or does he have to go out of the country. Thank you very much for your always valuable answers.
  12. I did, when I checked in at Toronto Canada airport, the lady told me that my passport was expiring soon and I told her that I knew, but when I arrived at NY city airport, it was a different story, I was supposed to fly with Air China but at the ticket counter the lady told me that they wouldn't let me in, in Bangkok, so I talked to the supervisor and he told me the same, so $ 680.00 USD later and 1 hrs flight later, I was back in Toronto. Needless to say, I was really ticked off.
  13. I thought that you could only do 45+30 and 2 land borders for 135 days. I did not think that you could get 3x45 days exempt. Am I wrong?
  14. This is correct. I was turned away at the airport because I did not have 6 months left in my passport. My passport expired on the 4 December and I was leaving Thailand on the 15 September. It was a very expensive learning experience, trust me.
