Well, someone who evades sales tax on just over 2 billion dollars for the sale of on of his companies (AIS) and someone who orders a large plot of land belonging to the government sold to his wife, which is illegal because government employees are not allowed to do business with the government, and nonetheless for only a third of the price the government paid for it doesn’t deserve to be the leader of a nation and in most other countries he would’ve had to step down over that!

Oh and by the way, if you think you have to welcome guests of his majesty on his 60th coronation day celebration and have your own TV station spend more broadcasting time showing how you welcome said guests despite the fact that you were only a guest yourself and had no official function at said celebration and this after more or less months of open rebellion against the king then please don’t be surprised if you get ousted!

Also, his ludicrous “war” against drugs in which there were thousands of extrajudicial killings make him a fricking murderer!

That guy never was suitable to be the leader of a nation despite his business merits because he’s corrupt through and through!

Sounds exactly like the rest of the politicians in Thailand then!!!

  2. The problem with only admitting "rich" tourists is that these people will stay in upmarket places and use appropriate services so will not venture anywhere near places like local beer bars, street vendors, motorbike taxi's, small restaurants, normal taxi's, excursion operators etc which is where the "touristy dollar" is badly needed. Once again Thailand is pandering to the rich and entitled and not giving to hoots about it's "grass roots" people.

  3. The Thammasat University massacre, or ambiguously-worded the 6 October event was a violent crackdown by Thai police and lynching by right-wing paramilitaries and bystanders against leftist protesters who had occupied Bangkok's Thammasat University and the adjacent Sanam Luang, on 6 October 1976. Official reports state that 46 were killed and 167 were wounded, while unofficial reports state that more than 100 demonstrators were killed.

I do hope that history won't repeat itself

    national recovery must be accelerated

    Here's the answer

    1. All of you non-elected MP's resign

    2. Revoke the joke of a charter

    3. Hold a snap election

    4. Get a democratically elected Government

    5. Appoint some competent Ministers

    6. Plan the recovery

    Easy when you know how
